It's good to know what you would have done. What a load off my mind. Anyway, I'm done talking about this. I'll just research the story to the first Halflife since I don't own a copy.
Half-Life 1 also had a good story. I remember when I first played Half-Life 1 and I thought Gordon Freeman was just some wuss and pansy and now after finishing all the Half-Life games, he comes off as a genuine hero. Take the crowbar to 'em, Gordon!
As Alpha reassured me, the puzzles did wind down a bit more toward the end. And yes, I think of them all as puzzles anyway Doppel.
The ending to Half Life 2 was beautiful and surreal. I really enjoyed it, albeit I was somewhat confused. But now I'm gonna go on and play episodes 1 and 2.
Yeah it left obvious for episode two. In the rail.

The irony that this thread came up as I return....
You see I have just bought the orange box and have proceeded to whoop HL2's butt in every way shape and form.
10/10 for the puzzles though. Some were a little basic but I reckon that they are realistic solutions.
Instead of (like in most games) finding another route to the tower, just use your gravity gun and blast some cars off of the cliff and drive your ass through...

Having an FPS game with puzzle elements, now, that's a whole other story...
