I'm working on this Animation for this website and welli accidently did a stupid move.
Lets say the Image that i'm Working on the Animation is 470 x 85 and only 470 x 60 will have the animation on it. so this is what i did. with the crop tool i cutted out from top to bottom 470 x 60 and saved it as a .gif and for the image from bottom to top 470 x 25 and saved it as .jpeg.
This is The Stupid part.
I Decided to take break , and forget about this for a while and relax, next time im in i had the thought in my head that the .psd document was still in 470 x 85 uncropped. so when i came in i found only the bottom part and i'm like where the fuck is the rest(i know i't's stupid) i couldnt find it but for some reason i saved everything and close everything decided to start over i thought i thought i left it saved somewhere.. but then i found out that when opened the original .psd i was working on and saw it was 470 x 25(the bottom part. then i knew i made a dumb mistake and that it was the same .psd
The Problem is i cant undo it now, because i saved it damn it, the way i used to do it was Alt + Ctrl Z but i dont know what i was thinking and thought it was a separate file. so i saved it accidently thinking it was a separate one. so that's it i still can see the layers on the side, how can i uncut is there any way at all? i wanna go back to where i was it took me forever to do it and i had it all organized and i'm not thinking of doing it all again.

We're trying to balance satisfying the fans and also creating a game that feels like our own.
I'm not sure if it would work after you've saved it, but there is a 'History' window. Under the 'Window' thing at the top, click on 'History' (in the same place that you click on 'Layers' to get bring up the Layers window).
This sucks, just to make it simpler to people i wanna know is there a way to undo a cropped image .psd in potoshop?? even if the layers are still in there.

First open a new file, size 470x85. Then open both the top and bottom parts in two more windows. Now first you go to the top window of 470x60 and select all, and copy that. Then you paste that in the 470x85 window. Then you do the same with the 470x25, pasting that in the 470x85 window. And there you go, the original 470x85 picture.
Most fuckups you make in Photoshop can be fixed. Usually.
And Atrumentis, people other then Jetrall know a little about Photoshop, but thanks anyway.
I think you're out of luck on this one. From what I know, the only option you'd have to undo the changes would be the History tab; however, since you indicated that you closed Photoshop, the cache will have been cleared, so there is no way to retrieve the original state.

They also say that once the crops are cut you have to replant them to get them to grow again.

I think you misunderstood his problem there, man. It seems to me that what he's saying is this...
1) He has an image (full size)
2) He crops and saves just the top half
3) He undos that and crops just the bottom half, saving (thinking that he's saving it as a new image)
4) Comes back later, after having closed it, and finds that he no longer has the top part
Since he didn't actually save them as separate images, your method doesn't work.
There is no way to recover the original image or the top half, I'm sorry to say, Zet. This kind of thing happens and it's a pain in the ass, but there's not much you can do about it. We, as humans, can't help but make this sort of error now and again.
Assuming I correctly understood your predicament, you will have to start over from scratch, I'm afraid.

But then again I'm not an official forum artist so what do I know!?

There's no need for that sort of shit and you know it. So, I misread something. That means I deserve an insult?
Besides, I'm pretty sure his issue is that he needs the PSD with the layers. I would hope Zetiam would be smart enough to realize that if he has the top and bottom saved separately he can get them back as a flat image. I just think it seems like he needs the PSD.
(Yes, that is an assumption and could be wrong. I'm allowed to make mistakes too, you know. And I don't think I - or anyone - deserves to get shit for making mistakes.)
Thankx Linkx for the reply but unfourtunally it wont work i already tried that. and i did it in a better way in fact i moved it into separate groups ( the bottom and top had its own group) and it wont show when i copy it into another .psd.
I Think Jetrall is right, this disappoints me i thought the crop feature could be uncropped photoshop needs to do something about it not the first time this happens.
I guess i will have to start over but hopefully not from scratch because i made another copy earlier but i'd just have to work fixing the annimation and bah..

Crop can be undone - if you haven't already saved and closed the document. Just saving wont do it. If you close it, you're screwed though. You can't undo anything after closing. =/

lol, because your name starts with Z, I read the thread's title as "Zupid Mistake!" haha.

But that is not the subject of this thread, so lets get back on topic.
