I've heard decent used in a lot of different ways.
"Meh, it's decent but you could do better."
"My new ride is pretty damn decent eh?"
I've tried to find the 'defined limit' of decent on Google, but didn't really find anything on the topic.

It seems that the slang version and accepted version of the word both define decent as having a high standard. However, this doesn't justify the reason as to why someone might say: "Meh, it's decent, but you could do better."
Anyone have anything to say about this? I'm confused here.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Middle of the road for me - could be better, could be worse.
