I could never hula hoop. Nor ride a monocycle. Nor walk in those huge wooden heels (zancos in spanish, I don't know the word in English)... Probably because I never tried, but it would be so awesome.

I dont understand how you keep the speed up, after 2-4 spins it just stops and falls off :confused:
I started off the same, honestly. The thing is, practice enables you to follow through with it. When you begin, your finger tends to stay in the same place, thus as the book spins, it shifts positions, then falls. As you practice, your finger would follow the book as it spins, and then speed up the rotation or slow it down. It all comes with practice really.
