Yep. As a side note, this is why I was so happy with the new design of the barb. He looks like a legit strongman, without the "plump" muscles. He sort of seems denser if you know what I mean.

Are you really only a bodybuilder? I was hoping that your more into strength or something.

    1) I dont really know about bodybuilding and injury, but training to increase performance, not mass is always better in the long run, even though you can injure yourself with strength (or endurance or flexibility) training if you dont do it properly... After all the point of strength training is to make you... stronger... less prone to injury.

    2) I know it sounded weird, i said it because some (MOST) people think:

    ~(WRONG)~

(WRONG) ==> Muscle Mass = Strength <== (WRONG)

    ^^(WRONG)^^

    And again:
The only thing that matters is how your muscles work, not what kind of object you use for resistance.

    QFMFT.

Your muscles are mostly fluid. Body builders focus on sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, building up the liquids in muscles to make them plump. Sure, they LOOK strong, but they're really not. As mentioned, olympic lifters are much smaller, but much much stronger than body builders.

To the original question, it's just a squat. Plain and simple. Call it a dumbell squat if you want. Differences in exercise nomenclature are based on fundamental differences in the muscle systems used/form.

It's not a deadlift in any way, shape, or form. Deadlifts use a completely different form than squats. The fact that the weight is being held below you rather than on your back doesn't make it a deadlift if the movement is a squat.

It would be kind of cool. I would tune them out half the time, but it would still be cool once in awhile with good IRL friends.

It's indicative of the fact that hell is a much more real place to these people, whereas to us, it's a concept.

Think of how heaven is also conceptual to us, but there is a literal idea of it that we see every day "the heavens".

posted a message on Character customizations?
Let's think about this. What new features do we know of so far that could be considered a part of character customization? Thinking broadly.

    -Gender choice obviously.
    -New shoulder armor slot?

I don't see why they couldn't include further character customization. It's a class you fill the role of. Not so much a specific character. It's even implied in lore that many, many heroes rose to fight the Prime Evils. Seeing different faces rather than clones across the board would be a nice change.

From the FAQs on the official site:

New customization options will provide for an even greater level of character specialization than the previous Diablo games, allowing the player to create unique characters brimming with power.

What this means exactly, who knows.

I hate the idea of cookie cutter gear setups. I really want the rares (or otherwise non-unique) to be the best.

If they removed the useless mmorpg-style 3-d model in the main screen, there would be more space to try on items (you can even zoom down on your character during this time, and use the real-world to see what it look slike). You don't need an extra screen in your inventory to see your character when he is right there in front of you, zoomed in, in the real world. (imo :P)

You know what we should not be having to say all these things, Blizzard should have been smart enough to do this in the first place without people going crazy pointing them out. This just proves my point of how far they have deviated and just how much the WoW stretches into diablo.

My god, get off it people. Believe it or not, a lot of us are very happy with the new art direction. It just so happens that the biggest critics are also the loudest.

Yes. Your little screen edits look good. But you know what? The game looks great. I can't stop watching the trailer. Stop bitching about small details that ultimately won't detract from the overall gaming experience. People see a feature that has been featured in multiple new games, and scream bloody murder at apparent WoW influence. (I still don't understand why this is inherently bad, it being such a popular game).

If a beta is released, and your arguments are still valid in light of playing the actual game, THEN you can complain.

You know, not only would a lightsaber remove any semblance of threat from the situation, it would make it downright FUN.

From what we've seen so far, I think Blizzard is doing a good job of making the classes realistic. Look at the concept for the female barb:

    http://us.media.blizzard.com/1901200114/_images/artwork/ss5-hires.jpg

Obviously strong, and not without a unique attractiveness.

Also, this is kind of a personal thing for me, but neither version of the barb should look like a body builder. Body builders focus on building muscle volume, which doesn't equate to strength. I was so happy with the direction they took the barb's design.

The main, basic attack the barb used in the trailer....it occasionally cleaved through 2 or 3 enemies. Is that his regular attack?
