Quote fromI have a GREAT idea.
Make gold worth something NOW.
Lets get this thing on the right track for diablo 3.
Maybe start putting uniques and set items up for sale from rare vendors.
Make them VERY expensive. For hell level uniques make them worth like....5 million gold or so? Maybe more..I think that would be REALLLY cool. Think about it, you would approach the game COMPLETELY different.
That's a hefty order...but it might just pull me out of retirement

QFT. Blizzard needs to know that we really, really appreciate their work.

Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but the general consensus around here is that anything even remotely similar to any aspect of WoW is immediately bashed, to the point of idiocy.
Example: Hmm..this new bag/inventory system greatly improves item space on characters, and would therefore reduce muling..WHAT? WOW HAD THIS SYSTEM?! OMG SCREW YOU BLIZZARD TIS IS DIABLO NOT WOW!!!!1

YES. This was THE reason for duping, hacks, bots, and subsequently the ridiculous economy in D2. Blizzard should know that as Diablo players, we are completely anal about having the best we can get. (Evidenced by people paying outrageously for perfects when they could have something a few points weaker for a lot less).

Are you talking about the slot on the top right? I'm pretty sure that's a new slot for pauldrons..shoulder armor.

But how many of those are viable in Hell? Really not that many. To be an efficient killer, you almost need to follow the cookie cutter builds. More so if you're talking about pvp. (Though I'll admit I have seen some crazy builds that were very successful).
Making all skills effective wouldn't mean that everyone would be identical. You could still put emphasis on skills that you favored, and everyone would play exactly the way they wanted to, because they could.
That's what I want to see-the ability to play exactly the way you want to. I always see people calling for making the game more difficult. The way it is now, you are NOT free to play any build. Only certain builds are viable. Making it more difficult compounds this problem. I want to be able to play the game, not tirelessly run bosses for items so I'll have a chance of surviving.

Ya know I really don't see why they couldn't do that. Just as long as they don't start releasing so many classes that uniqueness is lost.

I'm thinking that's what we're looking at here. Check it out at the official site's lore page.

That's what I would have thought if someone suggested a Witch Doctor class, but I really think Blizzard made a good job at making it fit, lore and design-wise. I saw Xiansai on the world map and thought it would be cool to see a class from all places on the earth.

Since the Witch Doctor is a magic-focused hybrid, the other hybrid will be more melee-oriented like the Paladin. I think a Samurai could be really cool.
