Well I think I've found my class now, was hoping for a more knightly class but I'm confident the monk will be engaging to play as.
I hope this class will be all about channeled attacks through their staff or whatever other weapon(s) they use, and not have any hand-to-hand combat skills tbh, fighting against demons like that just never seemed fitting to me.
As for lore, I'm betting the monk will be a disciple of Zakarum (think holy bolt, its a staple of this series) like the paladin, but studying in seclusion somewhere instead, and will be more spiritually inept (kind of a given really). My guess is that he/she will be from somewhere near or in that mountain region near Ureh.
I hope they don't go cheese though and just spin the lore off from that monk in the old D1 xpac.

Again, we killed him in the first game, so no cameos from this dude.
It's pretty much implied that at least one of the two remaining lessers will make an appearance (in that interview where the dev mentions them being unaccounted for). That 'Gluttony' incarnate implies Azmodan will be around, yet the one from the trailer just seems to scream Belial.
All I know is they better keep my boy Tyreal on our side the fence.

The big D doesn't really have a beginning, just kind of exists I guess. Same as the Archangels.

I think what they mean by that is having to move somewhere that's tactically beneficial to your team, or even joining them, heh -in order to take out a mob faster to get to that heal up quicker.
I'm glad they're finally toning down the ease of potion popping too. I love the fact that there's going to be more teamplay instead of ppl just playing Level Racer against each other.

So like I stated in my other post, and similar to what other ppl are saying, I think it will be something along the lines of:
- Barb
- Witchdoctor
- Mage (got to have the pure caster)
- Ranger (this class will incorporate previous Amazon and Assassin skills; bows, traps, etc)
- Zealot (or something similar, in which the Paladin can be created under)

No, but we did have some dealings with them in the Kurast jungles of D2.
Also, neither the Barbarian, Amazon, nor Necro were mentioned anywhere in the lore of D1, yet they were added in D2. While the Paladin was sort of implied.
