What I meant was healing another class equinox. If that ability exists in any significant capacity, all content and all pvp will necessarily depend on healers. I hate needing a healer.

The pally healed and everyone was fine with it.

It's fine as long as it's totally irrelevant for high end pvm and pvp, which holy bolt was.

I suggested cleric ages ago. Just as long as he isn't called cleric.

And as long as he doesn't HEAL

Yeah, because it's so unreasonable to be unhappy about the possibility that tps and wps will both be nerfed. I swear it's like complaining about anything, no matter how reasonable the complaint, is a mortal offense to you people.

You might enjoy hopping on your stupid wyvern and waiting 5 minutes to get somewhere. I for one would prefer the WP and tp system exactly as it was in D2.

Look up AC2. You'll have about .5% of people (the best losers) at level 180 and everyone else at level 90 vainly trying to catch up just to compete. Worst idea ever.

I can guarantee that whirlwind will be absolute and utter trash in pvp. Not even because it was overpowered in D2, but because of the false perception that it was. With the focus on having to use 8 skills instead of just one or two main ones, jay "douche" wilson can't afford to have whirlwind be a worthwhile skill at all.

All the cutscenes will be 1080p, collector's edition or not, if Blizzard plans to keep with the times. You don't need a blu-ray disc reader to see blu-ray level resolution on your computer..

With the shift to true 3D, it's pretty obvious that individual items will change your overall look.

Ex: gloves, boots, belt had no effect on character appearance in D2, but they will in D3.

    Ballsy move.

If you call utterly and completely wrong/foolish "ballsy", fine.

LoD was fantastic. 1.10 is the real enemy here.

See, if WoW did not exist then I would agree. Everything about WoW, for me, was a major failure. It's got nothing to do with how it looks and everything to do with gameplay. Every expansion has been a major failure. Every new addition showed me a complete lack of competence.

Remove WoW and I would agree entirely. Blizzard has a great track record. From Rock and Roll Racing to The Lost Vikings to WC3. Everything has been great. Really well made, high production values, well designed, etc. Of course there have been patches to things I disagree with, but nothing as completely horrible as WoW was (again, for me).

However, I see the influences that WoW has had on Diablo 3 and some of those things are not good... primarily in the art style that is slowly turning itself in to what I feel Diablo looks like (compared to the release video and screen shots, the game already looks fourteen times more like Diablo than it originally did!).

The skill system looks repulsive. Way too many passive abilities, especially for the wizard. Just bring back synergies, but instead of hastily making it to try an attempt at balance, think them through. Build the game around them. More is better, and so far I'm not impressed with the number of ACTUAL spells the wizard has.

For things I feel they've done right...

Character design. Spot on with the Witch Doctor. From the shaking hands to the armor, so far... awesome.

The lighting needs some work, primarily with removing the blue-green tint that plagues an area of the game but the lighting that some spells give off is awesome.

The rune system is probably the best aspect of the game thus far. Absolutely loving the idea.

So far, that's really it. I'm indifferent about the majority of other changes.

/agree. I'd add Warcraft 3 to the list though, that was a failure for me. But nothing even approaches the complete and utter reversal I've gone through after experiencing WoW, from blizzard being absolutely the best company ever to just another cash whore.

This has nothing to do with Buddhism, that was a different thread. I'm not trying to contradict anything. Martial arts is for self defense, and if the world is in danger of eminent undead and demonic Armageddon why WOULDN'T the monks that worship whatever faith stand up and fight?

Well to be fair monks are ascetic. Which means in practical terms that they foolishly believe that the pleasures of this life are irrelevant and useless, and the most devoted of them wouldn't care one whit if this entire planet was destroyed tomorrow. They'll be "attaining nirvana" or some shit in the afterlife anyway.

I'll talk about whatever I damn well please, especially if talking about it offends your suddenly delicate sensibilites . Your disapproval is less than insignificant.

posted a message on Runewords Replacement
Runewords were absolutely great until 1.10. BotD, enigma, CTA, over powered runewords etc homogenized the gearing of PvPers. More seriously, they blurred class lines by giving every class the ability to teleport/BO etc. 1.11's fortitude and phoenix ABSURD 400% ED bullshit, or grief's retardedly overpowered damage range, was even worse.

I think that the strength of runewords in 09 was ideal. Great weapons which could be surpassed by an awesome magic or rare. Ex: fury balrog blade was a great melee weapon for barbs, pretty high end. But it was far outclassed by the extremely rare and ultra high end cruels of quickness and ethereal cruels of quickness. Nowadays, it's grief or nothing. Period, end of story, no argument.
