posted a message on New Class Skill Videos
It appears that a few skill videos, one for each class, have been leaked onto YouTube. Each video is similar to the Runestone Effects videos, where the class shows off some skills, except in this case we aren't checking out Runestone effects, we're checking out some skills that are shown off by each class! It seems as if Blizzard has some kind of skill-related announcement coming out soon, perhaps? The lack of audio is because they were likely ripped without it, so better quality videos may be coming in the near future directly from Blizzard. Click the spoiler to reveal each class video and list of showcased skills.

posted a message on WTF? Open Beta?
It is referring to the forum. It is an Open Beta Forum. The Beta Forums are open to WoW and SC2 posters.

There will be no Open Beta. I promise.

we would still have to gather the images of the 18 tiers x ~7 slots that can be dyed x 5 classes x 2 genders and find and preview each dye color ~20. Then we have to edit each image by cutting and cropping out each item from the paper doll and in-game model. so just ~25,200 images.

But once all of that is done, then a simple program to select each image should be simple enough ;)
If they're all on the Wiki or an Item Database, it'll be easy, ;).

posted a message on New Diablo 3 Community Site Online

It seems as if Blizzard has just opened up the D3 Beta Community Website (EU version) for business! This community site and forum will be used for any/all future information regarding Diablo3, as opposed to the outdated site we've currently been following. In order to post on these forums, you must have an active WoW subscription or a Starcraft II license on your Battle.net account. Once the Beta is released, having a Beta license will also grant you access to these forums. If you do not have an active WoW subscription, or SC2, and end up not getting into the D3 Beta, you can continue posting on the Legacy Forums. While this isn't a huge announcement, it's still something to be happy about, as it seems like we are getting closer and closer to the September Beta announcement.

Also keep in mind, the new community site is live for all regions, so just look at the bottom of the new community site to change your region, if you're from the EU, etc.

Actually, thinking about it, I think there's going to be a preview system for dyes within the game. Though, that would mean that making a tool for that would be simple. I dunno, we'll talk about it, :). For sure though, the Skill/rune combination calculator and Gem Calculator.

I think that people will find alternative ways to track AH statistics, without being dependent on "Wow" like addons.
I'm sure some people will figure out a way to do it... eventually...

Right off the bat, we're planning on a Skill/Rune calculator, and a Gem Progression Calculator (shows how many gems you need to get to all levels following).

    Quote from Kiwi Chap

I would like to see a tool where you could try the looks of different armor and dye combinations,,,, purely as a visual character planner which I think would be a good gimmick.
Item/dye "calculator" would be cool too. Maybe with Gems and Enhancements too.

Eventually yes, we'll turn all of these calculators (Sill, Gem, Item, whatever else) into one big Character Planner... That's the plan, ;).

posted a message on DiabloCast: Episode XXII - Be Your Own Demon

With the recent information from GamesCom and the end-game Panel that Blizzard conducted, we are curious as to how you feel about it. What kind of D3 end-game would you like to see, if any? Keep in mind, currently Blizzard is only planning on having the Inferno difficulty act as "end-game" for the release of Diablo III. Post-release though, they have some cool stuff planned, so let's let them know what it is that we want to see! :).

    • Infinite Dungeon: Imagine a never-ending dungeon (with a timer to track your duration), where your progress is measured by how far you make it (based on checkpoints!) and how long it takes you.
    • Horde Mode/PvP: Something very similar to the Horde Mode in Gears of War, where you must survive wave upon wave of monsters with, while in the Arena!
    • Pandemonium Events: Unique, hard to achieve content, similar to Diablo Clone, and Uber Tristram from Diablo II.
    • Unicorn Level: I think this speaks for itself, ;).
    • Inferno is good enough: Don't want anything extra and you'd rather just farm for items...
    • Other: If you have a different or better idea, let us know in the comments below!

If you want to watch the panel, courtesy of a french fansite, Diablo-3.net, otherwise continue reading for this weeks' DiabloCast!

In our previous poll, we wanted to know what ComicCon swag you were looking forward to the most... And the Tyrael Hoodie won by a landslide!

This time around in the DiabloCast, PhrozenDragon joins us as we talk about the new information from GamesCom! If you missed the twenty-first episode, you can check it out here. Otherwise, the twenty-second episode covered the following topics:

Except the Sorcerer in d1, the paladin in D2, the witch doctor in d3.

I don't think anymore discussion on this is necessary, because it will get out of hand, ;).
