Don't take this the wrong way mate =P but if you just state "I have my reasons but can't be arsed to name them" you're kinda killing the discussion. ;o Name em ya lazy bastard!Also I'm not one of those people that believe that mods are only used for hacks or bots but I have other reasons as to why I wouldn't like to see mods in Diablo 3!
On another note I'm no fan of modding either. I have played world of warcraft since its open beta, untill about a year ago. Since the beginning of that game, several mods were invented that I believe had a negative impact on the game, for instance; damage meters, gearscore and quest helper. Damage meters and gearscore forced everyone to conform to the standards. There were ultimate builds, and if you didn't use those, you sucked. Period.
I do however fully support the effords of the Diablo 2 mod makers. These enrich a game and give rise to a new generation of game developers, while not interfeering with the gameplay of the masses, since it was only usable in a private setting.

Iteration.
The process of designing something, taking two steps back, looking at it from a different angle, and then redesign. Rince and repeat.
This process can by its definition not be sped up. It is also the secret behind many great succeses Blizzard has had.

This means that ANY item would be obtainable by simple gold grinding, and would effectively decrease the players incentive to seek out the drop. Because let's face it, why work your butt off for an item, if it probably won't have the exact stats you want, while you can just as easily grind gold and buy the item, with the exact stats you want.
If I wanted to grind for currency so I can buy the stuff I want I'd go to my office.

Even though I wasn't overly impressed with the results (I actually quite like Blizzards current style), I did notice something at the 14:26 mark.
After the wizard casts her time slowing bubble, and picks off her enemies, a blue globe drops. While for the video the user interface is hidden, we cannot see the effects of this globe, but it does seem to work much the same way as a health globe.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
Also, should the colors intrigue you, here's the link to the topic this video was posted in;

You need not worry, there won't be a Dutch version =P The reason there probably will be a Frensch, German, Spanish and Russian version is that those countries' populations aren't very adept at the English language. We Dutch famously are ^^
