mmmmhmmm I want to see a spooky swamp type place.
With swamp gas that burst in to flames, with quick sand, and tar pits...

I'm ok with the idea of having some experience and gold being temporarily left at the place of death to be re-obtained in whole. But not having the ability to re-obtain 100% of what is lost will cause extreme aggravation and won't do the game any good.
I agree with this idea. If you die during a quest, then any exp lost is recovered after the completion of the quest. This will encourage players to play together and weather the storm even if things are not going smooth.
Or if you die in a dungeon, exp will be recovered after killing the boss. -

Because WoW is funding all of this. And currently wow has a diminishing fan base, it was 11.5mil now the website only advertises 10. This is still a huge number none the less.
Besides wow is currently on the market right now and one of the reasons it is so profitable is because of the constant updates the devs provide. Plus the size is relevant to the entire game, wow is HUUUUGE.
But on the Diablo side of things, there is a nice screenshot of the male wizard, and a few good pics of the barb(MY FAV CLASS!)

Jay Wilson said that the best way to lvl up should also be the most fun way.
Also in D2, being 90 and 99 did not give you big enough gains for one to want to do the grind in the first place. Since gear at that level was so good, the 9 extra skill points and 45 extra stat points didn't really do much.
I think there should be quests at the high levels will be substantially harder and yield far more exp to make leveling to 99 more feasible and rewarding. Along with the "regular" quests that may not be as hard or rewarding.
I think getting to 99 should require significant amount of time dedicated to play, but I think skill should be a BIGGER factor. I hope there will be quests that give HUUUUGE amounts of exp, but could only be completed by a group of skilled players that are coordinated and play the game masterfully.
And hopefully you get more skill points or stat points the higher in level you go to make it meaningful to gain these additional level.

Since 3x33=99
And there are 3 difficulties...

I think you misunderstood what he says. Yes, he did say that you will get loot and all the loot is specifically for you. Meaning the loot on screen that you see is not identical to what other people see, so you can feel free to grab any loot you see because each person has their own "loot". And what ever loot you DO grab does not affect what is on other players screen what so ever. But that loot is not specific to the class you are playing. You can play a Barb and get a wizard wand or something that does not benefit your class at all.

Ranged DPS tanking class??? Don't think so.

This is the part I am concerned about. There are no skills for the shield other than retaliate which is an offensive passive ability that procs when a block is made.
There needs to be passives like:
Increase block chance by x%
When equipping a shield increases defense by x%
Either that or make shields in general REALLY REALLY good

It is just a "bonus", no one is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to use all rares of a specific type.
Rares will still be good even if you don't have synergies...

Sure it will probably do less damage than the other specs, but that is expected. The damage lack should be noticeably compensated for toughness.

There is SOOOOO much content the the original wow, and after the expansion came out everyone went to the new zones and the old one was left barren and unpopulated. I was a die hard wow fan started playing since open beta. I played through all of the quests and all of the original dungeons, MC, and Ony being the most memorable, and I hated how all that was thrown away for a tiny new peice of real estate that the expansion gave.
Like Jay wilson said players will take the path of least resistance, they will go to that little peice of real estate if that is the place that gives them the best loot and best exp, even if it is not as big or fun as the older area.
