Is this still going on or was it today? damn me and my tardiness

If it wasn't I'm happy to come along and be a barb. Assuming is hasn't happened I'll be a titan barb, one that is pure strength (as in literally no points into anything else), 20 in spear mastery, 20 ww, 20 zerk 20 Battle orders and then the rest scattered around various skills. though I don't think we'll get that high in lvls.

And yes my name shall be Eskanasi, and time will not be an issue, I can go for 15 hours straight if anyone else wants to (other than that I think I'd have to take a break to eat:P).

If it's already happened I curse my bad luck

EDIT: In fact actually I believe that I am +11, you're minus 5, thus im 16 hours ahead of you(?) meaning I need to get up at 3 in the morning to participate. Sorry guys :S

Lol they had better have clan support for SC2, W3 had it... And if/when I get good at that game I want to vs people who are good as well.

D2 a clan never appealed to me. However if they make it work well in D3 than I shall embrace... I mean, why wouldn't I?

Can Diablo 1 be made cd-less?

I'm also trying and failing to make D2:Lo cd-less without downloading it from the blizz site.

I actually found out the other day, while I couldn't sleep that I hadn't heard any full stories that DC had to say O.o , I read about them last night on Diablowiki T_T, and I never knew about Runewords :O, thats what you get for skipping every cutscene and all the gossip and chatter :P lol, I play this game like a Mongoose high on crack.

The high runes are pretty much what the in-game economy is based on!

    Oh well

    Lol I'm trying to make diablo 2 cd-less. Can diablo 1 be made cd-less? my laptop doesn't have a cd-reader (eee-pc...)

Okay, 4/5 classes done, it's 11:25 pm, I think I might leave the Sorc till morning... it'll take me half an hour to do her... and I'm so tired I'm making mistakes in my editing which I have to re-edit to fix.

Lol I complained to my friend that I was finally finished editing the wiki for tonight and she asked me if I wanted a medal... well yes I damn well do!

Very interesting. The pages numbers were added by me, and I took them directly from the hard copy of the manual that I have.

However, mine is in Swedish, but I had no idea we'd be off by some 30 pages. I assumed the layout would be identical in both versions, and so didn't think much about it. The text is identical, though translated naturally, so that's kind of weird. It might also be due to different versions, mine is from 2000.

Well THAT clears up a few things lol :o

Okay well basically I've edited the Paladin, the Barb, the Necromancer and I'm in the middle of the Amazon to my copy, which is the english version. Not all the articles had references for their pieces of lore (which means I've gotta credit something and my one is the only one I have) and I've also worked on making the layout of the pages look exactly the same.

It's not the difference in the copies (mines from 2000 too), it's the language.

Look man this makes me feel a little guilty but if it's alright with you I think we'll (meaning I if Seth doesn't wanna do the sorc) just keep going and edit everything to the English version. Sorry to undo your edits effectively, it mustn't've been fun adding them...

Ummmm yeh I'll keep going, it's still better in a way because now every skill will have lore, and a reference for the lore, and it will all be from the same book.

    oh well

I have never Played Diablo 1, and probably never will.

I am sorry, but I have standards in graphics, they are at a CS1.6 Minimum lol.
*special exception granted to Diablo2 LoD*

If there is one thing I have a real problem with, it's people who care about graphics. Now granted, I have never been able to max out settings on computer games or even turn the slider bar even the slightest bit up... ever, so maybe my view is slurred but, it is not the graphics that make the game. Definitely is not. You should play it not because it looks good, but because it is a good game, it tells a story well, it plays well, it's difficult to master but easy to learn.

Hell, look at Starcraft:BW, the graphics on that are bad, but it's still huge! What does that tell you about the game? People don't stop playing things just because they look their age or get old (granted there are lots of games that were never played online but there are better reasons than graphics for that), even the original 1.6 or CS:source are proof of this. They are still played quite a lot today, and they definitely are not the games of today.

You should play the game to learn the storyline atleast. That's why I bought WC2, so I could figure out the events before WoW and before WC3, as the references to the backstory had me confused.

Play the game man, hell, hack it and just listen to the dialogue and watch the (few) cutscenes. :( But check it out.

Although, I never used page numbers. Those must have been added in when people went around using the new template. You are correct, they are all wrong and don't match up with my hard copy at all.

I'm assuming you're going to start fixing them?

I fixed all of the Necromancer and Barbarian ones today (atleast they're the ones I remember doing) earlier in the morning.

But it is incredibly repetitive work.

But yes I am trying to fix them lol. Any help you could give me (doing one one of the original characters lightens the load by 20% and means I only have to do 2 more) would be really good.

though note the expansion characters don't have this kind of filling out of their abilities in the LoD manual

Hm, well, I wrote basically every Sorceress article and I didn't use their online copy. I used my own physical one.

Well I'm not saying I've looked at all the characters, I got sidetracked with adding lore to some other pages today. But the ones I did see where mostly based off that one.
