I never power leveled in D2.

I like to play more in story mode than in adventure mode since I find it more fun and entertaining. The loot find is worse but still I do not care about uber items since I build ugly builds and have more fun playing that way than min maxing gear.

Not everyone plays the game the same way

All games are dead since none has ever lived.

People play games to have fun and for the most people will play many different games. Some people will come back to older games and some never do.

There are still people playing commodore 64 games on the commodore 64. I say lucky sob's I wish my commodore 64 was still working so I could play some of the old classics there.

Blizzard made their money on Diablo 3 since it sold extremely well since it is one of the highest selling games on the PC. I do not know how it did on the consoles since I do not have one at the moment. But likely it did extremely well as well.
first off diablo is dying way faster then wow, to the previous comment. it may never completely die but at the rate its going i personally doubt they will make another expansion. look at twitch.tv, all of the big streamers quit because of all the bs. notice how gabynator, rank 1 right? ya well he cheated like over 300 paragon levels and im sure other exploits as well, hes known for that. seeing as people that are rank 1 cheater to get there says a lot, i doubt people that wanna compete will keep playing this game. it may not be a majority, but its still a real lot of people.

and yes blizzard did make money, but so did many other games that have failed miserbly..that doesnt mean anything. the game sold well because diablo 2 was a great game and people wanted to relive that experience, they even gave it a second chance for ros. do you think people will really give it a third chance? and a forth chance? and a fifth chance? exploit after exploit, them not banning anyone for cheating, hell there might as well be white rings and duped items because it wouldnt change the game at all at the moment.
WoW and Diablo are different games. WoW is a subscription based game and WoW is not dying. It is losing subscribers but it is far from dying. Any company would be extremely happy if they had even half of WoW subscribers. Diablo 3 is only based on boxed sales and sold extremely well. But most gamers usually only stay for about a week or two of playing a lot and then they decide if they come back and play at a later time or when an Expansion or DLC/Content Patch is added. I believe RoS sold very well. If people did not like vanilla I doubt they would have bought the expansion, I know I would not. Is the game perfect and I would say it is far from it. It is a fun game when I am in the mood to play the game.

If you hate the game so much, why don't you find another game and have fun playing that game instead of wasting your energy hating on Diablo III.

Come on RoS is only about 6 months old and seasons was just added. Diablo 3 is not an MMO.

What is more needed is more gear options and hopefully some better and more affixes for all gear types. We also need to tweak more in the skills since most players are only using a few skills.

Adding more areas will not do that much since a few hours of playing it people will state we need more.

I believe Titan was being scraped long ago hence not too much word was given to that project. Titan was just likely being worked on if WoW ever got to extremely low numbers and Blizzard needed a new MMO to bring the numbers of subscribers back up.

1000 people playing a game that is over 2 years old at a single time is quite good. And that is only Public games.

    ------------

OP it does sound like you care about the game but at the same time it sounds like you need a break from the game.

If you are not having fun playing the game then do something else that gives you enjoyment and come back at some other point.

I only play the game when I am in the mood to play and that is usually only for a few hours in month and I honestly do not care that much about rifts or Greater rifts or seasons.

    Where is the proof.

Do you have the entire amount of players playing the game for the day, for the week, for the month. Not everyone plays the game everyday especially for a game that is over 2 years old.

ARPG's do not have end game.

Diablo 3 is about killing and looting and looting and killing. A level up to pick a skill or change the skill. Some more killing and looting and then more level ups and skill placements. More killing and looting and level ups until max character level. more killing and looting and then placing points into paragon level ups. Again looting and killing.

The only thing changes is the type of loot you get, the monsters to kill and the area you kill the bad guys.

And for the most part ARPG's follow the motto Killing and looting and loot to kill.

Who says you have to play at high grifts. Just play your build up to the point you can handle. If it is about bragging rights I believe you would earn more bragging rights if you take a weak build up and beyond Grift 35.

I really do not have any high end gear on any character and can not play anything higher than torment 2 solo but I am having a blast of time using with my melee blazing fire hydra build (I hate Mammoth Hydra). Likely will go with cold melee wizard when I have cold gear. I also use no mobility skills.

Sadly I can usually only stand a few hours in a month to play DIII and I do not like doing efficient runs or anything. I just go out play what ever fancies me and have fun.

posted a message on They didnt ban the people that majorly exploited, i guess its okay to exploit on seasons guys!
The next season will not be clean as well. Since a new exploit or something will appear. Cheaters will find ways to cheat.

The best thing to do is not to play it to think you will win or be competitive in it. Just play it if you are having fun playing seasons.

My melee wizard would disagree. She even likes strength on items. Yes she was raised by a Drunken Barb named Zonked and thinks she is a Barb. She is defensively minded and hates Critical Hit Chance and Damage since she thinks that's for Milk Drinkers. The issue is finding gear with Strength and Dexterity. Sadly I do not have that much items with sockets except the jewelry and a pants. What I might do is add some strength and Dexterity with a gem. Yes I am odd at times. Yes I know she will never be uber powerful but I do not care. I am having fun with her. She can handle T2 quite well and I am happy for that. I might be able to handle T3 but I am comfortable with T2. Sad thing is she is my strongest character.

Now if I can only make a melee Witch Doctor then I would be happy. I missed my old Melee Pet Witch Doctor. Yes I used Normal Attack on the RMB. But I only played solo when going with Melee.

posted a message on Greater Rifts XP exploit - 70+b xp/hour - 200+ paragon lvl day
I think the best thing to do is End Season 1 and start season 2. I do not think a rollback would solve anything since it will be tough to check all the accounts and characters and then seeing how the game played compared to the xp gained in that game time would be a nightmare. A rollback for everyone will punish everyone.

I would still look more into the issue and possibly see about banning players either for a temp ban and possibly a perm ban if it is a repeat offender.
