I just picked up a copy myself. Actually, a customer of mine gave me a copy as a tip. Been playing it quite a bit ever since. Still find myself on D3 at least an hour or two a day though.
i swear diablo 3 development and patches overall are the slowest things to ever come in a video game. It seriously makes me wonder what kind of development and programming departments they have over there.
take marvel heroes for example, the rate at which gazillion delivers weekly patches and monthly major content patches is just outstanding. How can one much smaller company with limited budget be able to pull such a thing off? and for some reason for blizzard is close to impossible.
Baffled.
It probably has to do with the fact that changing something with their product would effects millions of players, not thousands. Hence the long delays on content and patches. I do however agree with you slightly. It takes an awful long time for them to do their thing, but when the do finally release something, it tends to be done right, for the most part.
I really want to see the affix being removed completely. Not just on new items, also from all existing items. MF became a stupid requirement and created an extremely artificial gap. There was even no choice in whether or not to get MF.
I couldn't agree more. I think MF is a wasted itemization slot. I think needing specific gear to find better gear is a poor design.
But in the last 5 hours of game play, I've found 8 Legendarys and I'm only playing a level 35 HC MP10 character. I went from 1-31 without finding a single Legendary and now 8 since that emergency maintenance.
Anyone else experiencing an influx of lengendarys now?
I actually would prefer if they just removed the followers all together. I've always found it annoying to have them following me where ever I go, plus their quirky catch phrase get annoying to listen too after a while. I could never understand while Blizz thought we need something such as followers in the first place.
Honestly, how many people would play ladder if the best items in the game were non-lad only?
^^ This needs to be addressed.
Its for this reason, I doubt Blizzard would release ladder only items again. A ladder should just be used as a fun means to race one another. Normal vs Ladder, or even HC vs SC, shouldn't get a specific mechanic/item that the other doesn't.
I would advise you to keep attacking and trying to move in a direction where you're more likely to survive.
I think I've tried this on a few occasions but with minimal success. The problem is not knowing which direction is clear when you were slowly being surrounded by a giant pack of monsters.
I don't get them often, but when I do, boy do they cost me big time! Over the last 4-5 weeks I've lost two level 50+ HC characters to minor, but fatal lag spikes. They always seem to come at the worst of times.
My question to my fellow HC players is as posted in the title. How do you handle lag spikes? Is there a secret to surviving them? or do you just hold on to your trousers and hope that you survive?
*edit: I'm just trying to get a feel for the best way to handle the situation.
don't do self found, buy weapons whenever you can afford them, and socket them with a ruby or amethyst depending on class. but ultimately, the only tip i can really give, is just have fun.
TBH, I'd refrain from even looking at the AH. Buying gear from the AH ruins the entire purpose of this game, in my experience anyway. The second I buy something from the AH, I immediately stop enjoying my character. I mean, this is just my opinion, but I'd stay far far away from the AH.
Thankfully I purchased an SSD before D3 was released, so I've never experienced the issues you guys are speaking of. BTW, thanks for derailing the original topic.
It would be interesting to see how the majority feel about this.
Personally, I'm okay either way. It would be a nice change from the standard +attribute system. But on the other hand, the +attribute systems seem to work rather well. <shrug>

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give it a shot and see if I can enjoy them shadowing me a little more.

Does anyone know if the Alt+F4 trick still works?
