posted a message on Normal, Nightmare, Hell and INFERNO
Here's another thought: Inferno mode isn't ready yet, and it is what will be part of the first major patch of the game ~3-5 months out from release. That would explain their denial/lack of explanation about the interview. Then again, they deny everything that everyone says, even if it's 101% accurate. (The extra 1% are those pesky "undocumented changes" we all hate that come with every patch to whatever game)

You don't think that people would be more inclined to ask because they don't know what everyone else got? The sheer element of mystery/curiosity is enough for most people to do all sorts of asinine things, you think they won't type a couple of words into chat ? That's ignorance.

People will want to know, you will want to know. If you don't, you're either lying, a sociopath, or not human.

    Exactly!
If you're a Barbarian, and a good staff drops and the Wizard in your party sees what you picked up. He's gonna want it and say: "It's not for your class, it's for mine, give it to me".

Instead of selling it on the AH you "should?" give it to the Wizard? No!
That basically means that you're losing money. Well you're not "losing" money but you're losing the opportunity to make money. Out of your own items!. In game gold or real money.

Other people should NEVER be able to see what you pick up.

Or you know, he says "oh man nice drop, I'll trade you....." and then some form of communication actually opens up and *gasp* we have some sort of community formed around the game. If you really want to run around and not discuss one of the biggest things in the game (loot) then why don't we just play with 3 bots of random classes? That way we won't have any of that pesky chatting?

    Quote from Infiltrator

Honest words go a long way in my book, but I guess in the current time those are hard to come by, at least from the corporate world.
I agree. But some most people aren't able to read through corporate BS, and assume they "do no wrong".

This poll is ultimately flawed as people that want to play offline, aren't going to be part of the community; and vice versa.People online will not effect people offline. People offline will not effect people online.

The choice was for DRM/hacking/botting reasons. If they release an offline client, it will be broken down and used piece by piece to "break the code" of the multiplayer client. They could make unique offline client that behaves significantly differently than the multiplayer client, but that would be a huge waste of money and guess what, this is a business we're talking. $$$ effects all decisions.

And that is one extreme. In my opinion I feel it would be more the norm to expect people to tell you what they got. Especially end-bosses.

Unless "you are sheep," is a valid explanation, ofc.
fanboy == sheep , so to anyone that is overly positive about EVERY decision that blizzard makes, its kind of a given. To that effect, you are a sheep. I've yet to seen you complain about a single feature/change announced about the game thus far.

Is there *anything* you have seen that you don't like so far? And this is a serious question, as I'm already expecting you to type something that you think is witty like "I don't like having to read posts from people like you because of the changes". And to not be a hypocrite, things I'm looking forward to: Runeword system changed, Skill system looks like a good change of pace (especially if hotswapping skills is viable mid-combat). Feel free to post a link to another thread/blog/profile if you already addressed this question elsewhere and don't wanna clog this thread. Sheep.

Why is Blizzard even going to Gamescon? I figured they'd have the same mentality about Gamescon as E3. Unless they were going to do a big reveal ! (sarcasm) But in all seriousness, they do tend to lie about big announcements, to further make the announcement more of a surprise.

Aside from the hilarity of you following proletaria's lead on that statement.

Come on, you can do better than that. Lets get some substance to your post.
So the cynics have to explain themselves and the fanboys just scream "LOL NO, you're stupid". Yeah, no.

I voted "i don't like it, but i'll still play."

So when you kill Diablo or whomever, you're just going say "Thanks for the run, later guys!" and just log off? You're not going to be interested in the slightest what the others got? Really ?

Yes, its the cynical guy again: Remove the words Blizzard, Fallout, and Diablo and you've read this statement 100x before from 100x different game developers. Completely Cpt Obvious stuff.

So you are annoying in-game too?

Annoying in that I have valid opinions that have some form of truth associated with them that you choose not to confront and instead greet with straight out insults instead of forming a decent rebuttal ? Or that I'm skeptical and cynical ? Or that I don't trust companies that have a history of lying, making hypocritical statements, and reversing core mentalities with paper thin excuses? Then yes, I'm annoying.

did you even play D2 ? Because all the things you are so happy to see go seem like the exact things that made D2.

posted a message on How do you feel about only 4 people in party?
Honestly, it isn't adventuring with 8 people that I want, it was the trading (replaced by AH), pvp skirmishes (replaced by arena), and the "lets do something silly" servers that I liked to have them for. It's one of those small things that you end up missing ALOT, especially when you've farmed for a bit and want to relax in game with a bit of variety.

Just an fyi, if you're playing with me and we kill an end-act boss, the first thing i'm going to ask is "what didja get?". I feel like I won't be the only one. At the very least will we be able to link items in chat ?
