From what I've been able to absorb from Dennis's indepth and highly entertaining Let's Plays (which is also the only perspective I have at the moment) the direction Blizzard has taken on randomization is very adequate. Its so far subtle but effective to ensure that each play through has elements that creat a unique feeling each time you play the game. The difference, though subtle, is as of now but a taste of how it will feel as you progress in the game as Blizzard staff has so far indulged. Meaning if you think that there isnt enough variation then youll be happy to know that what they have displayed in the BETA is but a taste of amount of randomization of what is to come. I think Tyler also brought up an interesting point regarding bonus areas that occured regularily in D2. I am also in agreement that soemtimes these areas dragged on and even though discovery is a huge aspect of the game sometimes it honestly felt pointless or too time consuming in respects to the rewards. I love the smaller bonus zones that I've seen so far, and some of the throw backs to the previous titles in the franchize, "Den of the Fallen" put a NERD smile on my face.
Also the random "Events" that we've seen so far are DEADLY, I sincerely hope that Blizzard has atleast 20 of these as the game progresses each unique or with variations.
On that note, as Cap'n Video would say "YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeowW!"

One main concern I do have reservations towards is the randomization of the side quests or "Events" that we've been seeing such as "The Jar of Souls" or the "Ghost Lady." I think these "Events" are an amazing adition to an already amazing game, and hope that Blizzard has created even more of these as you progress through the game.Posted in: News

Well naturally, there wont be 5 targets in PvP, unless you can count minions even then, if you consider using frost nova in PvP the reduce cooldown would be way more benificial then the increased crit chance.

Look at the entire build before you respond...
Frost Nova with white Rune gives 45% crit if you hit 5 or more enemies. Now Im assuming that can now stack with the Blizzards 80% crit, so therefore min 125% for Blizzard crit....

This is 125% crit without taking into consideration the bonus received from gear or from precision....
I realize it means nothing, you cant conceivably have more than 100% crit cahnce, I just thought it was interesting, also White Runed Frost Nova is IMBA!!!

Other than that and the "projections" this is very nice work.
Keep it up mate!

THIS!!
Ancient Spear has a CD.... good try though.
And as for other stun locks, all the skills that stun are either on CD's or only have a chance to stun.

I personally am a fan of using shields, but I think it would be nice if we had some special moves or abilities that gives us reason to use shields, other than an extra boost to our defense. "
Utter Rubbish....
Also, most likely a character that is centered around shields is a definately possibility in an up coming expansion.... Paladin perhaps....

I definately agree, adds more dynamics to combat, as well as a further degree of difficulty.
