posted a message on Should Diablo be made into a MMO
    Quote from HEET1330

Like the title says what do you guys think? Here is the way i picture it. You can have a world call it sanctuary, middle earth what have you. Then you need to have a secure npc control part of it so to where if people wanted just to pve they could without pvp in that sector. But a larger part and most of the world would be wild to where anything goes. Alliances could form up and conquer. You need the land for resources to build craft items. In the wild they could have pve as well and they would pay more for the risk of being in the wild. But keeping with a photo realistic art style. I know not diablo but if it takes them ten years or longer to build a game. I'm not waiting for diablo 4 i'll be dead by the time that if ever comes out.

Also I think it would be great if they could allow unlimited size parties. So if the game does grow you could have 200 vs. 300 armies fighting it out. And when a larger alliance was about to engage or had a op they could let Blizzard know ahead of time so they could reenforce the node and servers. I know it can be done and it already is in other MMO's. I persoanlly have seen 1000 in one room fighting it out. It is crazy shit but yet oh so beautiful and gets your heart racing.

My personal opion i think it would compete too much with WOW and they would never build it.

    THIS IDEA IS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.

posted a message on Skill Swapping and Rune Changes
To be perfectly honestly, I am getting so tired of reading all this drib drab, this dead horse has been beaten enough. Why is there even resistance to the skill swapping possiblities and the eventual creation of macro programs that will allow you to use more than 6 skills at a time. Why are you babies fighting and helping Blizzard with making this release more Console freindly? Why are you offering solutions and opinions that will further limit the possibilities of this release, and help make this game MORE console friendly? Its the direction of Blizzard in wanting this game to be playable on consoles that is limiting its release capabilities on the platform that made them their billions. Im not even bitter that Blizzard is doing this its a direction which was inevitable, what I am bitter with is that they are releasing the Console version of this game onto the computer as well. Thats just how I see it.

Maybe im dead wrong, but its just so blatantly obvious, and to be frank I feel alittle cheated.

    Just my two cents.

The route of the problem isnt skill swapping its skill limiting... having only 6 active skill slots is creating all this controversy. Just my two cents.

posted a message on Mantra Changes
Duration of the initial buff from Monk Mantras seems insignifigant to me, extending to 6 or even 9 seconds afterwards would make more sense. In addition to that, having a global cooldown for all mantras after using a mantra would fix spamming problems. I do agree that the Wizards shields, and maybe even the Barbs shouts could use some attention and revamping. For instance, instead of doubling the effect for Wizards shields, the developers could adopt a skill proc attributed to the shield upon casting, this would not effect the skill afterwards but would instead give another reason to re-cast or even go to the point of creating oppertunities of when to choose to reactivate that shield. Example, when first casting Ice Armor, the Wizzard, casts a Frost Nova; When casting Energy Armor, the Wizard, also casts an Arcane Orb. I know that some runes actually attribute certain skill procs, such as Frost Nova for the Ice Armor, but would make the skill that much more versatile.

And to be perfectly honest, why just double the effects for a short time period afterwards, that seems an obvious solution and doesnt add anything really substantial to the game.

    Just my two cents.

From what I've been able to absorb from Dennis's indepth and highly entertaining Let's Plays (which is also the only perspective I have at the moment) the direction Blizzard has taken on randomization is very adequate. Its so far subtle but effective to ensure that each play through has elements that creat a unique feeling each time you play the game. The difference, though subtle, is as of now but a taste of how it will feel as you progress in the game as Blizzard staff has so far indulged. Meaning if you think that there isnt enough variation then youll be happy to know that what they have displayed in the BETA is but a taste of amount of randomization of what is to come. I think Tyler also brought up an interesting point regarding bonus areas that occured regularily in D2. I am also in agreement that soemtimes these areas dragged on and even though discovery is a huge aspect of the game sometimes it honestly felt pointless or too time consuming in respects to the rewards. I love the smaller bonus zones that I've seen so far, and some of the throw backs to the previous titles in the franchize, "Den of the Fallen" put a NERD smile on my face.
Also the random "Events" that we've seen so far are DEADLY, I sincerely hope that Blizzard has atleast 20 of these as the game progresses each unique or with variations.

On that note, as Cap'n Video would say "YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeowW!"

One main concern I do have reservations towards is the randomization of the side quests or "Events" that we've been seeing such as "The Jar of Souls" or the "Ghost Lady." I think these "Events" are an amazing adition to an already amazing game, and hope that Blizzard has created even more of these as you progress through the game.
