Ok, i downloaded the Beta client but it doesn't seem like it wants to update and patch to 1.13. It just opens and goes to the character screen. It should prompt to update when you launch the beta correct?
I uninstalled and installed again, currently downloading to see if something went wrong.
I think 4 player is fine, they could have maybe made it 5. But 4 is enough for groups to go in and have a lot of fun, and keep up with everyone. Too many people might wind up all over the map, one doing their own thing instead of staying together. I personally cant wait to dive in with some friends and experience Diablo.
The female Barb is pretty beefy and kinda manly. I might give it a try not sure though I will start with the male Barb for sure. I do wish it was more closely resembled the cover. Might not matter later once you get all your armor on, if you can handle the voice. Female Wizard and DH for sure, they both seem better than their male counterparts.
Scoundrel would be a good choice for the Barb, would be nice to have some ranged dmg plus the Scoundrel looks pretty cool. Gotta love the mustache lol. Scoundrel has some nice ranged abilities and a pretty good buff. I plan on trying them all, but im leaning towards the scoundrel for late game. Who knows yet, we've only seen the Templar so far.
Just looks darker, adds more shadow from what I saw. Looks nice with it enabled, but doesn't look bad without it. Can't wait to see later acts and experience the environment, I think it's gonna be amazing...
There would have to be a million invites given out for me to be lucky enough to get a key. I have entered every contest I could and have got nadda so far... figured the fansite deals would be easier than opt-in but still haven't got lucky yet. There is still hope, but my luck i will get one right before release lol.
But wouldn't bother me too much since the release would be just around the corner.
I had a lot of fun playing the Amazon as well, wasn't my favorite char but I did enjoy it. I liked the Assassin as well, again wasn't my favorite but I think they took the best of the Amazon and the Assassin in one character for the Demon Hunter. I look forward to playing the char, think it will be pretty good later in game and pvp. DW crossbows.... yes please.
May 15 is my guess, with rune patch and additional testing on the runes and skills, I am thinking a release to be given mid March for a May release. Wouldnt suprise me if it was June, so they can further polish and tune. Never would have thought that D3 would be out half way through 2012, but will Blizz it's nothing out of the ordinary...
It would be really cool to actually win one of the contests or the opt in... but Blizz wont do an open beta not sure if they could handle it at this point. It would be nice to get in though, because I don't think I will win a key from any contest. Hoping the release is within the next couple months so I don't have to worry about the beta and dive into release with everyone else.
I plan on using my stuff at 1st, then I guess if it loses it's appeal just not bother. But everyone with the CE will running around with wings and smoke at 1st. I just cant wait to get in the game period. Pre-ordered my CE in October lol to get that stufff, will be glad to just be able to use it.

No luck on any contest, and pretty much entered them all... always miss the FB question, was on lunch when today's came up. Hopefully i get drawn somewhere, so i can join in the testing fun and see what all the fuss is about. I wana get lucky and win!!!
Doesn't really fit with Diablo's game style, you can see your dmg on the char sheet, that's enough for me to compare gear and numbers. Don't see a need for a meter, as long as enemies are dying at a rapid pace and you aren't dying, thats good enough for me. Too many min maxers in WOW who focus on dmg meters, really don't want that to be apart of D3.
Unless are files on Diablo are wiped out, and they have to start all over D3 will be out before MOP. I figure they will get D3 released and then start focusing on MOP. MOP prob won't be out till Nov or later, but if Blizz stands by their 6 month beta period that should be pretty soon. Wish there had been some guaranteed beta invite deal like they did for MOP beta, but do you really wanna be tied to WOW for a year....
Closer to retail for sure, there will be quite a few tweaks to the rune system and AH stability. But I think it is close to a release, hoping for one in the next few weeks. Looks like it might be a May release if things are refined and completed to Blizz's standards, also with the amount of Beta keys floating around now it looks like it may be "Soon"
