If and when i get a beta key, i cant really decide. It's between the Monk and the Barb, both of them look like they are going to be a blast to play. I initially leaned towards the Barb when D3 was first announced and characters given, but after watching gameplay with the Monk it is starting to get more of a lean. Runed skills for the monk look amazing, and the later skills look to be really cool.
Not to rip anything from WOW, but a Deathknight character would be cool or if anyone has read any Dragonlance books similar to Lord Soth. A knight/warrior type able to use magic, curses and diseases would be something I would play. But maybe we will see something we haven't seen before, its going to be hard to come up with something new that hasn't been used before.
I don't plan on making gold finding gear a priority, but it might help to have magic find for better chances in finding gear for Inferno, or for the RMAH I don't see how people are going to survive in Inferno in MF gear, there will have to be a trade off somewhere in order to survive.
Gold gear would help if you are wanting to max out the BS quickly and buy gear, but still don't see putting any emphasis on gold finding.
Been watching Force's Kingdom of Amalur play throughs, looks like it might be a pretty fun game to play in the meantime. The gameplay and combat style looks cool. Heard it is a pretty large game, main story line is 40-50 hours. Figuring we hopefully only have 2 1/2 months left to wait till release.
Might be a cool addition, but most people probably feel as long as crap is dying and you aren't being killed left and right that your dps doesnt matter as much. I can see why it would pretty important in WOW, but people get too hung up on dmg meters. Diablo wont and shouldnt be like that.
Damage dealer for sure, plan on putting most runes in damage. Monk might be my solo character, but if i wind up playing with some friends, might change to more group buffs or dmg reduction/dodge/armor. Monk does look like it is going to be a very fun character to play, I think it is going to be a great in pvp.
One good thing about Blizz's games are they aren't too demanding on your PC. If your computer is a few years old, shouldn't have any issues running the game. Ram is super cheap anymore, can get 8 gigs around 70 bucks. You can get a vid card 100-150 dollars depending and be able to run it on high settings. Was kind of upset there wasn't going to be an Ultra setting, figured there would be since WOW had it.
Really hoping for April, but if Blizz sticks to it's 8 week release date, its starting to look maybe May and I hope not June. But with the patches rolling out pretty quick and the beta contests along with the 100k invites it, we could be getting a release date "soon" Just wanting this game to release already, Beta will make me want this game even more....
I think the Barb will be the most used character, being more familiar to most people from D2. I think the appeal to the melee character is very popular to most gamers, myself included. The later abilities for the Barb look amazing, can't wait for whirlwind. Geez release the game already!!
I am curious about the monk as well, looks like it might be pretty fun to play, think I will give it a try.
My current system probably isnt too common, but still no invite for me. Upgrading vid card and memory soon, dunno if that will make a difference. 550 TI 2gb card is going to be pretty common though.
