Hello, I'm playing on the US servers from SEA and I have 400+ ms.
    Don't worry, it's still playable.
Just a little annoying with the delay in attack and movement times, most specifically the item pick up.

It really is very playable compared to what you would expect with most games. I usually have around 99-230~ ms throughout the day on Diablo III (averaged from stable times today and beta experience), but for the past several hours I've had anywhere from 250-360ms. It will go down, but you really barely notice it.

I might be missing something, but why is it thst video games are the only product that its acceptable to release with issues like this. When apple released the iphone 3g, the activation servers couldnt handle the load and people were unable to use their phones for days. Why was that unacceptable, but people are defending blizzard. You can say all you want about people knowing there was no offline mode, or how difficult it is to plan ahead for server load, but at the end of the day, you have several million people who paid for a product that they are unable to use.

If you bought a new car, that you could only sit and look at for the first 2 or 3 days you owned it because the manfacturer didn't account for the amount of keys they would have to produce, you would be pretty upset. Why should blizzard be any different? Ive built data centers for double click and goldmann sachs which were turned on and open to millions of connections, and worked right from the get go, because low and behold, they had to. In most bussiness downtime is completely unacceptable, why do we tolerate it here, and why do people feel the need to defend it?

If you're preparing for a release like this, and you dont make sure that you are prepared for every contingency, despite the cost, well thats just a poor bussiness model and you should be ashamed.

^ This. A faulty product is a faulty product. Expecting to get what you paid for is not whining,

Ok, for the next online game you buy you should expect similar issues to occur like many of us that aren't over reacting to this.

Every online game has something like this happen on launch. People forget about it in a few days and forum trolls find something else to complain about.

Why do people still cry over offline mode? You were told flipping ages ago it would never be implemented. You bought the game, so you are either just stressed due to launch day issues or have the brain power equivalent to a potato. The game is great, all the crying is literally over stuff people were told before they bought the game, and they bought it anyways. I am so glad you wasted $60 if all you're going to do is cry and try to kill others' good moods when we are enjoying the shit out of this game. In my opinion you deserve it and I hope that $60 was a lot to you.
How dare you demand that things improve!

Strive to achieve improvement through constructive channels, not by being angry, over-entitled assholes. I can guarantee you that they aren't just sitting on their asses laughing at us as we rage and try to log on, they are most definitely working those asses off to fix the problems associated with the launch. Shouting, raging and frothing at the mouth isn't going to make them come up any faster.

I'm entitled to play my game, thank you

Because Blizzard wants servers to shit the bed and listen to people whine about their self entitlement. They are wor... servers will be fi... I don't even. Why are these people on DiabloFANS again?

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood, I thought my money meant I would be getting a product or service, whoops, and yeah, that license agreement was so conspicuous prior to buying the game

Then quit? You're going to forget about this in a few days when things are fine. If not... then quit? Complaining will do nothing. They're trying to fix it for you and all you can do is complain.

According to Blizzard's twitter page, maintenance has been extended tomapprox 1:30 PDT.

That's 4:30 am for timezonetards (many of which are hopefully still clicking f4 on the bnet forums)

yay for work tomorrow - I actually won't mind going in tomorrow knowing the servers are borked to fuck and back.

Link? I don't see this one their twitter pages.

Anyone else just lose 200-300 achievement points when servers came back up? I know for a fact I've picked up over 10k gold, so something definitely borkeded.

posted a message on We Will Eventually Have Peace and Quiet
A very small minority of players actually consider this franchise more appealing when played alone. The only reason you are hearing from them louder than ever right now is because of how sketchy the servers are right now.

The status of servers has also given single players some sort of temporary recruitment, where people who only play online seem to flame the inability to play offline. Once servers are stable, those people will be quiet.

No one will remember anyone ever cared about lack of offline play once servers are stable and we can all stop going;"gasp look at meta critic scores!"

The people who actually value offline play for this multiplayer game haven't shut up since it was announced. We just couldn't hear them quite as loud.

As an example, religious fanatics recruit more people to their cause in times of panic and uncertainty. I give you Diablo III launch.

posted a message on Are You Okay With Leaving the Rune System the Way It Is?
Honestly, they couldn't have been that "rare" of a find before. Otherwise I'm sure we would all be complaining to Blizzard;"I want to try out different runes or swap runes for certain encounters, or just play around with my skills in general, but I can't because I only have x amount of runes and they take so long to farm." I think the new system works fine, but the only complaint I have is that aesthetically, it looks like shit. They should have kept the rune symbols they had previously...

posted a message on I hope blizz put this UI :(
My biggest problem with the UI is that you can't scale it down (as far as I know (?)). I know most games let you decrease the size of the interface and it feels much too cluttered at the moment.
