I actually agree with this entirely.

The only thing I care about is getting a taste of the game. I don't really care how many other individuals are playing it at the same time. I would still be just as excited for the release.

There is no Paladin because they don't want to bring back every character for a brand new game if they can help it. They chose to bring back two iconic characters and they did. Keep in mind that there are two expansions to come with Diablo III in the next four years. I have already said in another post I feel that if they do bring back another iconic character, it will likely be the Paladin. We are currently missing a shield bearing champion so he would be the likely fit. That is of course only if they do want to bring back another character.

I smell a release date on the horizon.

I will probably do my first play-through, at least just one difficulty, by myself. That is unless one of my friends specifically asks me to play with them. I can't imagine I would want to play by myself more than with friends or even just random people in general. That's what makes Diablo great, slaying the forces of hell with buddies or making some new buddies whilst doing so!

The way I see it is that there is one or maybe a few silly options you can choose to customize your gameplay. A lot of people were worried that ferrets did in fact make Diablo III too "cute" but when you think about it, who is actually going to be using them often at all? Every game needs a bit of comic relief/the odd silliness.

Most of the time League of Legends is the only game I play. Followed by brief Skyrim relapses and other random games I either find on steam, or in the case of right meow, I have been loaned my friend's Wii and am playing Skyward sword! League of Legends is so competitive though... I need my less (to a far greater degree) competitive dungeon crawler! Where are you Diablo III?!

First will be the Barbarian.

Second will be likely be the Wizard.

Third will either be the Witch Doctor or the Monk.

Fourth will be whichever I didn't play third and finally the Demon Hunter as my fifth.

The only thing that might change is my second play-through could possibly be the Witch Doctor. I am definitely making a ranged caster second so the Monk would not be in the running. After that the Wizard would come before Monk just out of favor, which would leave the Monk as fourth play-through.

Since there will be two more expansions I would imagine there to be only one class released for each. That is not to say I wouldn't be happy with four new classes by the end of the series!

Personally I would love to see the Paladin make his return as our 1-handed, shield bearing champion. Putting aside personal preference, the character I see most likely making a return is... well... The Paladin! He is amazingly popular among most Diablo players and really does fit what is missing at this point in time. A 1-handed shield bearing champion...

I really just want the chance to go through the motions and get a feel for the new Diablo before I get into it on release. Sure it probably will only take someone like me who has played the rest of the Diablo franchise to death, MMOs, and other similar games a short time to actually get comfortable with motions, abilities, etc. But I still can't help but get the urge to want to go through the motions beforehand. Another reason is I've simply been following this game for so long I really just need a taste to hold me over. Streams just don't do it for me.

Little did I know how epic a crusade I was in for when I first walked into the Blood Moor on my Barbarian when Diablo II was first released. /nostalgia

Edit: Must not forget the close second;"Fresh Meat!" followed by my first, several deaths of Diablo I.

I must learn to read entire posts before I begin typing for once in my life, as I just deleted an entire post about why the rune system couldn't possibly disappear. /facepalm

In actual response to the thread, I like the runestones, but as long as the system stays the same I am someone indifferent on what special items modify my abilities.

Does one have the option to opt out of using a follower when playing alone? I remember there being a stir about this as some players were under the impression you were forced to have a follower with you at all times if playing alone.
