posted a message on why do rathma necros run the shadowhook instead of trangs in cube?

Not all Rathma Builds use Shadowhook. I'm not sure what curses you're talking about. Most Rathma builds use NO curses because every skill slot is used by a pet skill. Rathma technically is "short" 1 skill slot because a lot of builds should have Army of the Dead but it just can't fit unless you discard a needed skill. Unfortunately, most builds don't run Army of the Dead because of this.

Some Rathma builds use Cycle in cubed as well.

posted a message on Rathma "Frozen Bones" Build GR90+
Hi Everyone! I welcome you all to try a new pet build I developed with a buddy. Not another pet build! Right?? Well, don't worry. This is a "different" pet build. This build is another variant of your well known pet builds used with Bones of Rathma set. I haven't seen one out there quite like this yet. It offers a very unique play style that may take some getting used to. This isn't a "skip trash" type of build which the majority of Necro players are accustomed to by now. This is a "KILL 'EM ALL" type build. This might be just the type of build you've been looking for.

Since the Inarius set was nerfed about a week ago, me and a buddy were testing a bunch of different builds with Rathma in 2man GR70's. We tested for nearly 4 days straight swapping out 1 skill or 1 rune at a time. This particular build evolved into something very powerful. We were both amazed by its performance. I decided to test the build in a solo GR. I cleared GR75 in about 8 minutes with 1 mil sheet which was impressive - no augments and a handful of ancients. I moved up to GR79 with 1 mil sheet. Then I stopped to write this guide. I'm really having a lot of fun with this build and it has great potential for GR90+ with enough paragon/damage.

    ENJOY!

    *****UPDATE 7/18/17*****

They finally fixed it today. Grim Scythe and all other skills are now working as intended with Inarius 6 set bonus. You will notice a huge increase in Grim Scythe damage along with other skills.

My build is once again viable and competitive. Thank God!

Check out my build which is great for pushing solo GR's with mediocre gear and probably THEE best build for Hardcore aka HC players:

Golem does have a CD as well. Like I said, I like the build, but it really is CDR dependent. That's not a bad thing. It's less CDR dependent than your typical Corpse Lance builds because you can get Golem CD down to maybe 30 secs? Maybe 20 seconds if you're CDR stacked which is still a lot of downtime. You clearly manage your CD's well.

Nice find. Hopefully a Blue takes a look and runs it up the flagpole.

I really do hope so. The problem with posting on Blizz forums is that you get dozens of morons replying with no clue about testing anything. I hope this gets stickied on here. This should be addressed immediately by devs.

Is the primary skills not getting damage bonus working as intended, or something that broke?

That's exactly what's happening. Primary skills which should gain the 6 set bonus with every attack is now RNG or has a proc rate from Bone Armor, which they intended for gems but somehow it's affecting skills. So my title is actually dead on.

Update: This could possibly be affecting every skill and not just Primary skills.

The answer was found! This is the answer provided by mikotan on Official Diablo Forums. My response following his answer.

The reason we are seeing lower DPS on the primary is because the 6 piece bonus is activated by the bone storm. The very bone storm that got hit with a proc nerf. It was not the interaction with the gem that got nerfed, it was the number of times bone storm would hit.
SO if you go up with a primary, you will have to wait for bonestorm to hit a mob first before the 6 piece takes effect, and even then there seems to be some delay. After that.. and only then... will you one shot whites in T13. They also nerfed the number of mobs that bonestorm can hit at once in order to minimize the Mirinae proc. This thus affected trash clearing in speeds.
It was intended. However, it is a severe oversight on blizzards part imo.

AHHH finally an answer that makes sense. TY! This is exactly what I was trying to figure out. So... they did mess something up in the process that greatly affects primary skills. No wonder my dps has dropped a ton and that's why killing trash feels so weak now.

To elaborate you're saying that the 6 set bonus isn't working as it should. Each attack should proc the 6 set bonus while Bone Armor is active, but it's not since the latest hotfix. Since they limited the proc rate of Bone Armor I'm getting far less set bonus procs on my primary skills resulting in less dps. So let's say, hypothetically speaking, 1 out of 4 attacks procs the set bonus damage. Wow... don't know what to say. Sounds pretty broken to me.

Then there is an oversight that needs to be looked at and fixed. This, aside from gem procs is a big deal.

NIce build. I like it especially because it relies on no cd's which makes "speed farming" much faster. All those LotD speed farming builds makes no sense to me when you use LotD like 2 times per rift. Plus, you don't have to stop and lance, stop and lance, stop and lance. You can keep moving while "attacking". Those are the best kinds of speed builds.

I'm going to state this now because eventually you will all realize it. I've been doing a lot of testing and the Inarius set is definitely broken NOW (post-hotfix) and has nothing to do with the Mirinae gem.

First of all, my build is a Grim Scythe build. Always has been. I was pushing solo low GR80's with my build. The gems didn't matter for me as much as it mattered for other builds. Anyway, that's besides the point.

I tested my damage in T13 and my damage barely kills elites. Takes me 2-3 swings just to kill plain trash... like wtf? I'm full ancient + full augments (rank 60+ augments). My sheet dps is 1.6 mil. I used to be able to one shot everything with my primary skill in T13. Now, I cannot since the "hotfix".

I'm 100% sure that the devs broke something else in the set by mistake while trying to fix the gem interaction. What a mess! lol.

Here's a "before" vid that I made for a speed farming build:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giUnJ1Of5EA

As you can see, I practically melt everything. I one shot trash for sure. And I purposely used less paragon for this build for testing purposes (roughly 800 paragon). Right now, I'm using my max paragon and I my damage is maybe 40% of what it used to be. I even told a friend to come along on a different class to compare how fast he killed things in T13. He was on a less geared toon nearly one shotting everything. Then I logged on all my of my other classes that have full ancient sets + augmented and those classes didn't change in damage one bit. Actually, all my other classes with less gear can kill things faster in T13 now which makes no sense.

    Something is definitely broken here.

Figured it out! Primary skills are no longer receiving the 6 set damage bonus.

I can't get this build to work at all, it's weaker than my bone build

What "bone build"? I used this build with only 600 paragon and I melt everything in T13. Surely, you're missing something.

Btw, this is a speed farming build for T13 aka GR60 aka XIII. This build is not meant for anything higher than that. If you're trying to push GR with it then of course it's not going to work. It's not meant for that.

That's one thing but you're also running around because you're buying time for LotD. All LotD builds are like that. Once it's down damage isn't good enough, unfortunately. Even the most recent lance build with Trag that's doing GR100+ is the same way. No primary skill. Just run around and wait for LotD.

Nice build. Even Inarius Corpse Explosion build for grs is not that bad. I was doing some testing last night. It's not very optimal though but for the fun aspect of the game it's playable. The main difference in my set up is that I'm using all poison items/skills/runes since Nayr's buff stays at max stacks. Unfortunately, Poison set up wouldn't work with Trag'Oul because you need the physical rune for Corpse Explosion for the 6 set bonus.

There is one downside however and it's for all LotD builds. You basically can't do anything every 30 seconds and just run around like a headless chicken. I see it in every LotD build and your vid is a perfect example of it.

Anyway, I like this build. Anything but another Corpse Lance build is a plus.

What if you used that ring that sucked all mobs to you and then used the Corpse Explosion rune that does nearby damage?

It's a good ring. It's listed as an optional ring in my guide. That is the rune I use for this build, Close Quarters.
