Your analogy is nonsensical as well...Saying something is bad if it takes an hour to do damage doesnt really say anything about the mana per cast of hydra.
Damage per AP means NOTHING if the damage is extremely weak. You have to consider DPS to AP and not just damage to AP. What good are the Hydras if the mobs are dead before they get more than a few shots off? I'll just use FREE magic missle spread glyph instead if you're so worried about damage to AP. If I want utility there are plenty of other skills I can use instead. Sure there MAY be fringe cases where I'll swap for some turret CC to kite some huge mob that can be slowed.
It has nothing to do if I like it or not (btw, I do like it because I love turret skills and dragon-type creatures are awesome) but the math right now does NOT back it up and math is fact not opinion. About the only thing left that neither of us know yet is if the AI is still as crappy as it seems in the video.
Are you saying the skill was nerfed then? I'm still trying to figure out what your saying here. You sound like you agree in general this is a buff, which is the entirety of what I'm saying.
Robbing peter to pay paul. You're getting crap damage for good AP cost. Before it was decent damage for crap AP cost. It's neither. UNLESS you're specifically referring to fringe CC cases (that other skills can't handle on their own). Which would not be "easy to see" as you were questioning the other poster.
It will deal less than 10% less damage and will costs 62% less AP.
I fail to see how the damage it dealt was significant enough to say "did decent damage and now deals crap damage".
Besides, do you not realize that the net gain in 25 AP when you cast it now directly translates into more damage from other spells? The total damage you deal when you use Hydra in any combat scenario is higher than before in every single way you slice it. There is no trade off here. It was a buff.
I won't be replying to you regarding this any longer as you are simply either too stuborn to admit you are wrong, or are too stupid to realize it. I'm personally inclined to believe the former, since that is basically how every debate over internet forums amounts to.

It may be taken down a few days, or possibly a week before that, but it should go nearly until release

interesting.
That said I have yet to see any of my heros get affixed with 'sir' after reaching lvl 10 in the beta though. Perhaps release only?

Think you meant to use the word "including" instead of the word "except", but yes.
To reiterate once more: you CAN equip a quiver when using a 2-handed crossbow

Thanks for this post.
Interesting to see cold dmg is the only elemental dmg affix with an affect. I knew it was slowing on contact with regular hits, but figured it wouldnt be the only affix to have that affect.
I guess the question still remains then, do the other affixes have an effect on critical hits? I believe a saw mod post a list of the different crit effects of the different elemental affixes, but now I'm thinking they dont have any affect at all with the exception of cold dmg?

really we just need a final say on the exact runes and skills that are affected by attackspeed.

You can equip a quiver with a 2h crossbow
The idea is DH's can equip quivers when they use either a bow, xbox, or a single 1h xbow, so that dual wielding 1h xbows isnt the hands down best strategy.
EDIT: to clarify, bows and 2-h xbows function identically in regards to equipping quivers.

Nah, he's right. You are an inarticulate noob.
As an aside, it is incredibly asinine to create a thread asking for peoples opinions, only to get overly defense when they critique your build or offer criticisms.

That grace period isn't right now....
look, like a week or so before release, when they've done this for all 5 classes, there will be like a week where you can do this for any of the 5 classes and still get the sigil. that week will be for anyone who missed any Sigils in their own week.

No it doesn't. You don't need someone from Blizzard to confirm this.
Why would gaining movement speed mean gaining attack speed?

I think one of the WD issues though is that the whole old naked african tribesman with parkinsons who shouts in gibberish when you use skills is one of the big turn offs of the class. Much harder to relate too. I think the female WD is much nicer to play as because of this. Since there is no way to fulfill the male power fantasy by playing as the WD, I think many players will avoid him out of aesthetics.

Blue stated (regarding a forum post on poison) that dots will not stack unless they state otherwise

1) builds up hype and awareness for the upcoming release, and helps spread the message to people who may not follow this game or blizzard announcements at all
2) gives them an idea of how many people plan on buying at release
and all they had to do was make 5 little sigils and just call them exclusive content. There is no trick to it, it takes a few seconds to get the sigil, and it's not intended to be hard.
Why people are going so crazy over this I have no idea.

Please tell me specifically what areas of the game the demon hunter is having difficulties relative to other classes - area name and difficultly level please.
