In a company as large as Blizz, it's not surprising that people have been moved around or left the company.
In John's case, he's apparently been gone for a few months, imo a few months is at least 3, so I think it's safe to assume we got a 2.4 patch as well as season 5 without him on the team.
There's always promotions from within the existing team or even the option of hiring new blood.
Long story short, if Bliz wants to give D3 another expansion, they certainly have it within their power to do so without Yang or Boyarsky. If they're planning on D4, then yet again, they've got the manpower and hiring capabilities to make that happen.
Anyone losing their mind over either departure need to take their meds, it's all gonna be ok.

Yea, Greater Rifts aren't designed for the safety net HC players want to play with. The purpose of Greaters is to push things and if you push things, you will die.
Real men play both HC and SC.

Took my WD to Act 5, nearly crapped myself at the difficulty of the bosses. That flamethrower... jeez...
Even the Crusader, a class I've never played (wasn't fortunate enough to get beta time) was rolled and thrown immediately into HC. I'd rather die a thousand laggy disconnected related deaths than play softcore anymore. Softcore just can't thrill me like hardcore does.

Nothing is changed or lost if I'm not on all day Tuesday. I'll still be able to roll a Crusader, I'll still be able to take my chars to 70, etc. etc. etc.

Also, gearing up my followers that use a different main stat that I do is proving incredibly obnoxious due to smart loot.
While I definitely approve of loot 2.0 and agree that it’s far and away better than loot 1.0, being able to pay gold for some Barbarian’s yellow rings/necklaces he doesn’t care for so that my Templar can keep up with my non Barb classes more easily wouldn’t be frowned upon.
Definitely never want to see the return of the RMAH.
