I think the issue started since 2.0 pre RoS. I have no idea why, but programming works like that. It's annoying to deal with and i have no idea why it isn'f fixed yet... but probably, like Rakkis' poor performace, it's something hard to fix <_<

I think it was hinted some time ago that when a season ends, all your paragon experience gained in ladder would add to your normal one but the idea of this mode was just an idea and nothing was in development at all.

    From today's patch:

-Legendary crafted recipes no longer require specific Common armors or weapons and instead now require Common crafting materials.

You don't need a White Skullsplitter anymore to craft a Devastator

    You forgot to add:

Crusader: shouldn't be able to kill him/herself with a random ability.... shouldn't.

I hope it's tomorrow too, but it's all too quiet so i'm not keeping my hopes up. Surprise me, Blizzard, i dare you!

You know what is even worse? The fact that Blizzard failed to learn from the D3V failed itemization. In the beginning Loot 2.0 was a major improvement to Loot 1.0 but after the hype went out of me I started to resent the RoS itemization. After all the talk about improving Legendaries, about abandoning the model where all the classes hunted for the same stat combinations on items, about the mandatory Emerald-socket in weapons we have a game where:

    • A socket in weapons is still mandatory because of the ridiculous amount of CHD emeralds provide
    • A lot of Legendary items are nothing more than Rare items with bigger stat rolls
    • Each class still wants as much CC/CHD/IAS as possible - nothing has changed in this matter. Putting aside the class specific items, the only variation between classes in gearing is the main stat and chosen elemental damage bonus
    • Some legendary items are just badly designed - Wrath of the Bone Kingis a prime example. The guaranteed 1-2% of CC is simply nothing compared to what a socket+emerald would bring in terms of raw DPS, thus it will always get enchanted off the weapon in favor of the socket - oh wait, but it won't because it's impossible to have a socket and the main stat on this weapon at all
    • Some really weird decisions were made - for example, since RoS release I keep wondering why on earth Eberli Charo and Vo'Toyias Spiker are regular shields, not Crusader shields. More for Forgotten Souls non-Crusaders?
    • After having a game which pigeon-holed everybody into the same items in the same slots, Blizzard gives us some ridiculously overpowered items that everybody wants to have. When it comes to higher torment levels, it's hard to find a person who doesn't use Stone of Jordan + Ring of Royal Grandeur + Aughild's 3pc bonus... Really great diversity.

Ok, rant's over. Have a nice day.
    Nailed my thoughts. +1.

What RoS made right is the item hunt but still didn't provide meaningfull gear choices. We are stockpiling the same stats we used in D3V and the example you brought with the Wrath of Bone King is perfect to describe my gripe i have with weapons, but the problem lies on other slot gear.

I expect another change for the item system for the next expansion and it will probably lead to another hard reset with an increased level cap.

-Players can now disable smart loot.
This struck me as odd, why would you want to have the possibility to get items like a Dex rolled mighty weapon with a + mana resource roll? what will is serve.

By disabling smart loot you will get a lot more random and shity loot that aren't coherent at all.
Disabling Smart Loot doesn't mean having class items with random main stats. A mighty weapon will always be a Barbarian weapon stat wise, maybe it won't roll Str at all, like now, but it won't have Dex or Int.

Smart Loot just means the gear you find will be for your class.

posted a message on Would you like to be able to turn smart loot off?
    I vote Yes.

The "on rails" term is perfect to describe the rpg experience on Diablo 3. This over protection from Blizzard is getting on my nerves, no trade, gear only for what you are playing.... meh. As i said in Vanilla, thanks god for the combat system, which is top notch, but the linearity of the customization makes the game a lot shallow.

I reached a point i'm more happy to see an off class piece of gear and think about the day i will play that class with the equpment i got while randomly killing monsters <_<

posted a message on Blizz you need to do something soon ...
A lot of people feeling bad.... that's the usual vocal minority on forums crying about a game they don't like to be shaped around their needs.

Personally i think this game is fine but it's so easy to get burned out and bored with this title because upgrades become rarer and monsters easier to kill, expeciallly if you play a lot, as i did. It's no shame to stop for a while and wait for a major content patch, because i'm also waiting for seasons to start again in Hardcore while playing RoS 1hr a day, yep, just 1hr because i have others games to play too and as i said, i'm kinda bored of Softcore. The world is falling, totally.

I think the gearing process is waaaay to easy for my taste, with the smart loot and the mystic changing one stat into another desired one to make a so-so item to nearly bis but i understand i'm the minority of the playerbase that plays waaaay to much and a game can't be balanced around my un healthy gaming habits, so i just deal with it. I got my share of fun, i still play the game occasionally because it's fun to slay monsters, expecially with the combat system of this game, which is really great (this was the saving grace of D3V).

Even Blues said that you can just come back later to play the game, there is no subscription to hold you, so just do it, but don't be an attention whore when you stop playing, it's annoying.

Ps. i didn't watch the video. Call me prejudiced, but i won't look at it if it's another quitter thinking he had to do a video about stopping playing a game.

posted a message on [Tool]item swapper
Someone i know used a gear swap tool back in Vanilla to change his equipment into magic find to last hit elites and got punished for it (his paragon got reset, so no more MF for him). I don't think Blizzard will tolerate this add on if it catches you using it.
