At this point is just too convenient to invest a small amount of money to buy gold and gear up a char to lvl up in high mp10 than playing the game, if you are not a masochist (as me).
If Blizzard wants to keep raising the gold stack for RMAH, they will just go down a neverending spiral because third party sites will always have the cheapest gold and Diablo 3 just keep pumping this currency without limits, inflating the economy without stop.
Some time ago i would never said this but i really wish we would had a Ladder reset every few months to keep the economy from collapsing or implement some BoA system to avoid oversaturation of items on the AH, maybe tied to some sort of enchant npc (mystic) that will empower your items but make them untradable.
I know i will sound like a hater, but i just need to vent some rage at Blizzard: "Good job idiots, you didn't foresaw gold inflation and botter competition after a month of the game lifespan! Just keep making gold cheaper on the RMAH, it will fix the problem!"
I really hope next patch and expansion will make these problems worthless...
At this point, if i ever feel like playing this game before "Loot 2.0" i will just stay in HC.

May 7, 2013Seifa posted a message on 1.0.8 Official Patch NotesPosted in: NewsQuote from Serpenth
I know it's hard to believe but they can't do it all in one day. There will be no miracle patch. It's piece by piece as it has been for the last year and the game has improved greatly.
Actually I'm not even sure this is a serious post, these notes have been around for weeks, even a month.
And there were more pressing matters from retail than these "minor" quality of life changes. They had to rebalance Inferno to make it playable for the majority of players without using cheesy tactics (grave ressing, perma smoke screen and others), improve legendary items, crafting and PvP (which got screwed quite bad in my opinion).
I agree Blizzard is taking very cautious steps, even too much for my taste, but i'm quite happy that they are still working on this game to make it more enjoyable every time. -

Apr 2, 2013Seifa posted a message on Developer Journal: Multiplayer ImprovementsFilter for multiplayer games is a really good thing, I hated when i joined random parties and found out it was a PvP game, quite annoying and i abandoned co-op games quite fast. While most (read: all) of my friends stopped playing D3, it's boring killing monsters alone. Hopefully the new matchmaking and tweaks on co-op will make playing in group better.Posted in: News

Mar 5, 2013Seifa posted a message on Developer Journal: Itemization UpdateThe best thing i read is the new Legendary system. It's a shame that all those low lvl Legendaries don't get much love (rephrase, they don't get it at all). If Inferno drops all orange (brown? w/e) items scaled to max lvl, it gives some good diversity.Posted in: News

It feels like they want to give a cookie to the PvP crowd so they won't yell about its lacking anymore.... I would be disappointed too if i wanted what they promised months ago....
Meh.... it's a low blow in my opinion, really low. -
Aug 22, 2012Seifa posted a message on A Message From JayI think Jay is a real sensible person. After working hard on Diablo 3, he and his team has been swarmed by harsh criticism (valid or not it's not my point). They started working hard to deliver 1.0.3, and it didn't stop. Just a few days before the release of 1.0.4, Brevik did that interview and i think Jay couldn't take it anymore and vented some frustration.Posted in: News
Was it a good decision? Ofc not. Is it justifiable? I don't think so. He made a huge mistake as a human, and he will probably pay the price for a while. I feel sorry for him... -

The official forum is such a mess and reading topics there makes you want to rip your eyes out (i can remove my glasses, it will have the same effect). There are different reasons topics are closed and deleted and i think the most common one is: "You posted a thread about something it's being discussed already 1 thread below you!" and we have the OP yelling at Blizzard because they deleted his opinion that deserved its own topic, of course with insults, cospiracy theories and foul language.... banned.
Then we have hate discussions with attacks to a certain player gemographic (casual vs hardcore for example) that ends in a flame war. I wonder why they close those...
Another typical closed thread is the petition..... I think a bunch of +1, signed, agree, etc. etc. aren't usefull feedback.

I always played D2 as a self found or with a close circle of friends, so i never mass traded but in D2 it wasn't mandatory as it was in D3V to have a chance to build an effective character. But that's not the point.
The point is that some people aren't finding gear fast enough for their taste (drop rates are fine in my opinion) and i understand the need of trading, if someone wishes to get gear faster and how RoS is shaping up, i think both self found and trading can live together quite well because the rewards are quite generous to reach T3-4 with dedication. Let's add Ladders, so there is an economical reset on the competitive mode and we have something similar to D2 that can make most players happy.
Yep, a self founder isn't against trading, shocking. The problem was when trading was shoved down my throat in vanilla and drop rates and item quality were balanced around the idea that the "Core experience" of this game was trading gear....
But this is totally off topic... and i'm really ranting so hard these days on Dfans.... jeez, the complaining.
And i totally agree with you on this, on my raging rant (that quote from Wilson made my eyes bleed from anger) i didn't share my common opinion that BoA is the opposite extreme of AH.

A trading game, yeah, sure.
Sometimes i wish Developers would stop with those propaganda speeches.

Like MMO, this genre has reached a wider audience of players that don't grasp the concept that not every game should suit their habits and taste and i hope the hype train for this title and genre dies fast.
The flaws in this game aren't the drop rates, but the boring itemization that wasn't fixed. (Really, adding more, undesired stats into a 4/2 system doesn't make it dynamic, to use a word ruksak love).

I kinda like being able to remember the art style of an item when i check it before the identification, just a memory training
I know it's sad to check the art of the amulet and seeing it's a Blackthorne, but the disappoitment won't be any less when you identify it without seeing the icon, it's just delayed.

Every bloody day there is a thread about Smart Loot not being 100% smart, so it's bullshit; or there is a thread about conspiracy about RNG not being RNG with account flagging and star alignment; or not being able to get the whole set after a month into an ARPG.
I think my url is reading: "http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/"... nope. i'm on the right forum....

Remeber to save the config file of the application somewhere safe, because that's used to restore your PC authenticator if configurations bug out.

I'm a big fan of legendaries affixes that changes the behaviour of skills, like the Instant Bolas quiver or the Buriza and i hope they will make Legendary gems that way....

As other have said, we need more Poison and Cold skills to play with but with the CinderCoat-Magefist combo, i still see it as the dominant element....
