either bring back the shoutbox or some institute some kinda live chat a form of d3.com msn, we faithful members miss the shoutbox bad, you could have shoutbox or live chat on a seperate page only accessable by members of this site, that way guests would be able to read whats in it, that and spamming why the shoutbox was taken away wasnt it
2.
inactive account deletion after 3 months or so, coz something really needs to be done about the abundance of inactive accounts here (sorry if it seems a little harse its just how i feel and im not the only one with this point of view)
3.
different names other than junior member, member, and senior member (prehaps the ones i suggested in my new post names poll http://www.diablo3.com/forums/showth...ght=post+names) and if these names are choosen, a link to a page that says, what each name is and how many post you need for each (people keep asking it gets annoying, [this kind of things really should be in the FAQ, im not sure if it is])
4.
an area for people to post introductory posts, you know a seperate subsection like 'd3 chat' ''polls and surveys' also in this area should be posts detailing things new comers need to know, mostly posting rules and the like (even though this kind of info is FAQ material)
5.
if it doesnt already do so, and we just dont know about it, i would like reputation to actually do something, yeh its fun to spread it around but what does it do? also does the 'X is on a distinguished Road' (mousing over the green dot in your post profile) meaning anything, coz it seems like everyone is on a distiguished path even new comers
6.
the 5 or so things on the 'portal home' page in the top left corner that dont work either need to be deleted, or be made to work, esp the gallery and downloads
7.
a gallery thats full of screenshots from all the diablo series games, and a subsection of submitted char builds with pics, oh and a gallery/subsection for non diablo related pics

instead of just 1 top poster, show top posters, maybe 5 or so, currently one would have to go the the members list, then clicks posts to see this info,
9.
if you change the colour/font of your posts, it should stay as the colour you choose instead of reverting back to the default
10.
also those 4 spinning stars in the post profile, do they mean anything, i think newer member should have less, and older members should have more, i dont know maybe 1 star for every 250 posts or something like that

your mouse icon should be a wepon of sorts (sword or axe) from d2, or prehaps the classic gauntlet like in diablo

not sure how successful this would be, but some kind of insentive to stay active, other websites have points that count towards downloads you cant get anywhere else, its really annoying to see that out of the 2000 accounts on 500 are active and around 20 or so of that 500 post on a regular basis, now i know people can post everyday like some of us can, but it does seem like a waste to create an account then never use it

newcomers to this site, should either be automatically or manually(by someone) PMed a 'hello welcome to this site' message, the should include a quick rundown of the posting rules (the important ones) and the age old 'we hope you enjoy your time here' line

In some of the (game play) videos there was a lot of in game cinematic movies of character interractions (mostly involving deckard Cain). I think certain scripted events will use in game cinematics, where as say act (part, chapter, what have you) will have full CGI cinematics.
Blizzard likes using the in game cinematics for little scenes of dialog or a short movie. Wrath gate in Dragon Blight in WOW for example, but they also like to do bigger cinematics too.

Well maybe not. You could use the canoe to get across the river to tie a rope off so you can attach a carabena to it to secure horses to it so they don't float away while they cross the river with the supplies for the attack.
Other than that, I really don't know what you would use it for.

The group that comes in from the west has two parts. A smaller group say 3 people, that will trick the guards into opening the gates, they are disguised as Riddians after all, and the larger group that is hiding in the trees ready to rush in when the smaller group has opened the gates.
Mean while the rest of us will be attacking from the north.

When I began my other one I had much more of it mapped out. I was two or three quests at least a head of where we were at in the story. The only thing that made that one hard was it was split into three parts, so I had to plan for three different, yet similtaneous storylines.
I try to invlove the players as much as I can so they feel more apart of the story, instead of say the merc from act 2, just coming along foe the ride and not doing a heck of a lot. I try to make you guys feel more like a character from say Baldur's Gate. Always interracting with the main protagonist and those who are with him at any given moment.
So yeah it takes a lot of time thinking how best to involve everyone, I'm always thinking in terms of RP, do I wish to include some off the wall joking around with one person, or do I wish to include some saucy banter between two characters.

Oh and in my last post where i said "2 score" I was referring to the various NPCs or Non Player Characters in the Knights of the Burning Blade. We wouldn't be much of a mercenary army or a militia if we didn't have throngs of nameless people who can get killed off at a whim.

It just takes time to plan stuff out. Where it should go, how I should go about getting it there.
Dealing with several people doing completely different things at the same time makes it a little tricky too, I can't address everything that going on, which is kinda unfair to people, but I just can't do it within reason, so I have to somewhat pick and choose which post I am referring to when I begin the basis of my next one.
Also the lack of a presence from Jetrall doesn't help. this is actually more his RP than mine.

The clerks in these store have lots of tips for painting the models too, what paints to use, what techniques to use.
Not sure which model stores sell Warhammer models, but if it has a Games Workshop sign, your on to a good start.
