    Aah yeah.

Yeah not sure if you can delete a thread while you are viewing it, which is what your talking about there with going to edit post.

Threads are generally deleted by checked the check-box in the forum.

Would have to see if it's because of your status, i.e member rather than moderator that would allow you to delete the opening post like you say, but probably not since at best all it would do is move the first reply to fill the spot left by the opening post being deleted.

I don't think the coding allows for the entire thread to be deleted if the opening post is deleted. Which can be done by a moderator (or higher) via check boxes in the thread.

I've deleted opening posts in threads before, and yeah all it achieved was the first reply became the opening post.

Pretty sure you can't give people the ability to delete their own threads as the ability to delete threads is applied globally to the forum or sub forums. If you can delete your's you can delete other people's too.

While your intentions are clearly understandable and most would probably do the same, delete pointless thread they made themselves, some people would delete threads made by other people. And the mods and admins wouldn't want that to happen.

    But I could be wrong.

"Are we talking more of a stealthy approach or killing everything in sight?"

"A combination of both." buliwyf said. "There is a small outpost here, a small group will assault the outpost and take the clothes from those they find there. The river is shallowest at the point. This is where you will cross the river. Using the clothes from the men at the outpost you will approach Riddia from the western gate. This gate is smaller and less guarded. Kill the gate keepers, then signal to the rest of the men with you to charge in and make your way to the main gate house."

Buliwyf stabbed the map with a knife at the location of a small hill north of Riddia.

"Meanwhile the majority of our force will be concertrated here." He said. "Gathering what we can, we will fashion many flags and standards, creating the illusion we have more numbers than we actually have. this should force most of Riddia's forces to the front and onto the bridge. We will assault them from the front while those from the west gate come in from behind."

"Buliwyf, why are we returning the fire? What have the Tappans paid us to do? Fight their battle! The battle is over, we are not entitled to continue with this."

"In order to keep the Knights of the Burning Blade going, we need a war chest. If we cannot add to it via payment, we must add to it with the spoils of war." Buliwyf replied. "Secondly, building a reputation is never a bad thing, it can lead others to look more favourably towards us, and offer more generous rewards."

Is this retributive attack being planned at the threshold of the church? Did we move somewhere- like a building, a table somewhere, or something?
I am planning it and I am still in the church. So if you are talking to me you kinda should be in the church too.

Love the frequencies of the responses but you guys gotta give me a chance to reply, looks like im in 8 different conversations at the same time. I can't keep up with everyone.

Realizing the makeshift canoe plan is their only option,..
It is? I had a different idea.

This next post might not make much sense but I am going to try deal with everyone's questions that were directed at Buliwyf. Probably more trouble than it's worth. And it will no doubt he hodge podge.

With his brother being tended to by the priests, Buliwyf began the arduous task of planning the attack on Riddia. He studied the maps and sketches of Riddia and the surrounding terrain, and the many hand written notes describing the town and it's fortifications, as well as recalled his encounter with the militia.

"They favour heavier armored infantry." he said to himself. "And numbers."

He leaned back in his chair and scratched his head as he pondered which strategies to best employ.

"Numbers count for naught if they cannot move, but a single unit of well armored soldiers can last a long time and take very little damage." he said. "And lest I forget what the volley of archers can do."

The main entrance to Riddia was via a long and narrow drawbridge.

"If I can force them to concerntrate their forces there on the bridge, they will be unable to move. But I will need to find a way to take out the archers in the towers above the bridge."

Yeah I meant to get some more posts out but the WOW expansion did a number of me. Not that I wasn't expecting it, I totally was, just what it entails. Plus the 3.2.2 patch and 3.3 patch.

Diablo 3 News was big too. Monk FTW. Like Diablo Hellfire only better.

Hope to get some out in the next day or two but hopefully today.

"I respect your candor Warrick. And these deaths will be avenged, you have my word." Buliwyf said. "But I will not charge blindly into Riddia. They will be expecting a retaliation of some sort. I will not suffer further needless loss of life. I must go now and speak with my brother, we will decided our next course of action."

Buliwyf remember last seeing Jamis in the church, he began his search there. Walking passed the throngs of scared and wounded children and women, and the soldiers. He made his way to the rear of the church. Light poured in through the door, a figure was in encased in the light in the doorway. It was Jamis.

"Oh no," he said aloud then, with the heavy thud of armour, collapsed to the ground.

    "JAMIS!"

Goblin should stay neutral. They would loose half their business deals if they started fighting the Alliance.

Worgen would be Horde if it had to be one of them. Horde gets all the "monsters".

Cataclysm. Yeah I heard they trademarked the word/phrase. Still seems a little on the short side.

    The Burning Crusade
The Wrath of the Lich King

    Cataclysm

Shouldn't it be a few more words than that, even excluding the word "the"

But they have pulled this sort of thing before. So I'm not completely surprised.

    That name is bad ass.

Keegan is pretty cool sounding. I doubt this poll will achieve much, It up to you do what you want I think. But I went with Keegan.

Well its the only way I really know of to go back to the colour of the forums since for some strange reason its not in the drop down list. And I was mostly explaining that for reference purposes, its rather involved and time consuming.

The alternative to that I guess is to copy some text from the post above, insert that in, and it will be the right colour.

I guess another reason I wrote up that method is incase for what ever reason you decide to do a really really long story post, and you type it out in word first. For some odd reason, the forums sometimes spaz out whe nyou copy huge amounts of text from Word, which has a default font colour of BLACK, so the forums posts your text as black in your post. Black text on a Black background. Nice one forums.

Guess you could change the colour of the post right before you hit submit, but then you still have the same problem.

There are a few colours that are close but not the same.
    Like this one for instance
    And this one

Why the forum colour is not in the drop down list, i'll never know, It's quite annoying.

I figure that coloring the whole post is easier because you can't get back to the normal beige color and going back through and coloring the speech and thoughts is too much like work.
Write the whole post out first, then colour the speech. That's what I did. Yeah it's a bit more work, but its a little easier on the eyes. A soloid wall of bright green and dark red is still kinda hard to see some times. It also makes it easier to distinguish what is speech and what is text.

But hey, at least people are posting.

    EDIT...

Actually there is a way to go back to the beige colour text of the post. It requires the use of Microsoft Word. Well there used to be, Pre Office 2007. It doesn't work like it used to in the older versions of Word

Copy a sentence or words from the forum
    Go to Paste Special
Go to Paste Formatted Text. It will copy it in the forum colour (well it should).
    Select the text
    Go to colours
    Go to more colours
The colour of the text from the site will be shown in the box so hit "OK"
    Type out your post
    Copy it to your reply

Your reply to the thread will now be in the beige colour of the font.

I did my old RP that way. It does have problems those for people with speed vision. That layout that uses the beige colour as a background.

I have Office 2007 now, so the way I used to do it doesn't work. Haven't figured out how to paste coloured text into Word 2007 yet.

You guys only have to colour the actual speech part of your posts you know. The bit in the speech marks. You don't have to colour the whole post, lol.

You can colour the whole post too I guess.

An eerie calm came over the forest, not a sound was to be heard.

"It is quiet, too quiet." Buliwyf said solemnly.

As the group continued along the road colomns of thick black smoke could be seen above the tree lines.

"Smoke? Let us pray all is well" Buliwyf thought to himself.

    "Quicken your pace!" Buliwyf commanded.

Upon reaching the clearing it became evident as to what was the cause of the smoke coloumns. The Knights of the Burning Blade arrived at Tappas only to find it lying in ruin, buildings had been reduced to nothing more than piles of rubble, and the streets were littered with the bodies of the townspeople.

"Quickly fan out and search for any survivors!" yelled Buliwyf. "What in the Burning Hells has gone on here?"

Buliwyf, Jamis and a handful of men headed for the church at the top of the hill, the one building that appeared to have weathered what ever happened to the buildings below. On the steps of the entrance to the church was the body of one of the priests. His clothes were torn to shreds and covered in blood. Buliwyf ran to him and grabbed him by the shoulders.

"What happened here, SPEAK!" he shouted. "WHAT HAPPENED HERE!"

"*cough* Riddians. *cough*" said the priest expelling blood as he talked.

"HE SPEAKS!" Buliwyf shouted to the others. "Go get some water and a blanket!"

"Tell me what happened." Buliwyf said to the priest.

"The Riddians." replied the priest. "They came down the river. While our best fighters were in the fields, the best from Riddia came down the river and took us by surprise. Most of the towns people did not get away. They hacked us down where we stood, women, children, they slaughtered them all, I saved who I could. They are safe in the chu........"

"Rest in peace, your death will not go unavenged." Buliwyf said as he closed the priest's eyelids.

Jamis returned with the water but only to see Buliwyf kneeling, head bowed with his sword in front of him. Buliwyf turned around to see the Knights of the Burning Blade standing before him.

"They played us all for fools." he said. "Riddia will pay for this!"

Would I be wrong in assuming that you Teo base your dislike of anime on the overwhelmingly large number of anime with characters with huge eyes, cute creatures, pink, green, blue, hair in rediculous hair styles, such as in the like of Yu Gi Oh, Pokemon, Digimon, Duel Masters, Zoids, Gundam, etc and other such animes that are referred to as the 4PM anime. That is to say it is often screened at 4pm, when the younger people get home from school.

These anime are the one people are first exposed to, and this causes many people to think that this is what all anime is. The anime for a much older audience is screened much later, usually during Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, but even then it is still sometimes the anime that is targeted for a younger audience.

Anime is often repeatitive, its the same tired characters (or similar looking characters) over and over again. Then I found Berserk.

Sure it's dated now, it did come out in 1997, but it had no little kids with green spike hair, no cute little monsters, no huge eyes. It did have a character with an over sized sword (yet another staple of anime), but this time the character looked like one who could actually swing such a sword. It was also, rather gorey and violent and there was the odd bit of nudity. Sadly it was cancelled before the season final, at the time it was demmed too violent/risque for TV.

I like anime, but I can't stand all those Yu Gi Oh, DBZ, Pokemon shows, instead I retire myself to watching, Basilisk (a sort of romeo and juliet tale, but with ninja clans), Berserk (Medieval Fantasy), Ghost in the Shell (Computer hackers and internet espionage), Ninja Scoll (Feudal Japan Fantasy), and Hellsing

Not everyone has to like anime, I don't think your alone here in not liking anime, Teo.
