LOL. Are you being serious? This image could be anything. It could just be smoke coming out from recently put out candles.
Behind the last paper bit there is probably a trollface.
Even if it's fully revealed, it might still yield an interesting debate. May you remember this guy:

There were so many great examples from the community as to why the idea was flawed, but that's exactly what I want from my posts. I really want the community to discuss the ideas together. There's a lot of people that get angry when they find or see a flaw in one of my suggestions, it makes me feel for the actual developers that have to put up with it on a daily basis.
This. Brilliant. I like this attitude.
Not only is he incredibly modest about his ideas ("they are flawed" - nah, the Loot 2.0 post was perfect!), he also isn't fishing for +1's but wants to spark a discussion (and gets +1's nonetheless) while maintaining a good level of reflection about his ideas ("hey, even though my ideas were great and did receive a lot of positive feedback, many people get angry about little details - this is what it must feel like to work at Blizzard").
We need more of such people. -

Yeah Karyna's the mystic, but where did you get the info that Mira was a mystic too? I've listened to most dialogs/letters between Haedrig and Mira but didn't pick that up.
Player: Tell me more about your wife.
Haedrig: I broke her out in the middle of the night, and we escaped. They didn't chase us far. I guess they were glad to see her go.
Player: Not many care for witches.
Haedrig: She wasn't a witch. She was a mystic. Though we didn't find that out for a time, not until we started traveling with a Vecin wagon train. But that's another story for another time.

Were you forced to ask questions about the console version to get this interview? Can't think of any other reason why you'd ask any questions about it otherwise.
Just because you're not interested in console (and I'm not interested in console news, either) doesn't mean no one else on DFans is. There are lots of people interested in the console, plus it's just the one thing most of the devs are working on right now. -

Grammar Nazi.
Blizzard is working on including the Mystic back into the game, but it’s still not clear what unique feature she might offer.
Rule #1 of Grammar Nazism: Make 100% sure you're right. While some style guides (Associated Press, Economist) might agree with you, others (Chicago Manual of Style for example) occasionally seem to be okay using plural for collective nouns. The question is whether you consider the company as an entire unit (as in, "Blizzard has lots of employees") or the individuals of this company (it's not the company working on the Mystic, but its developers). Going with singular you're right in almost all cases, but sometimes the plural isn't wrong either. It's more of a stylistic issue. By the way, as a non-native speaker it still "sounds wrong" whenever I hear commentators referring to a sports team using plural (Manchester United are rubbish), but I've learned to accept that all languages have their counter-intuitive quirks.
On topic: I LOVE that they stress again that e-sports is off the table for now. Focus on PvE and fix that first, thanks. By the way, some of you seem to be a bit self-centered if you think that just a couple of suggestion topics are the reason why the Mystic will come back. Many people still haven't realized how close the Mystic was to being part of the release version. It's not like without the community's suggestion they would be unable to develop a game. In fact, all suggestion are based on beta concepts and have only small "novel ideas", so please give credit where credit is due. -

Whoa, there... we don't need your 'caution' and your 'facts'. We're discussing Blizzard's greed and short-sightedness, here.
Yeah, who cares about facts! And caution? What's that?
Blizzard is such a scam, such a greedy company... selling a game that wears out after just a few 500 hours of playing and offering nothing but a few content patches every year. And they dare to put their game up for a usual price tag, similar to that of other games such as awesome shooters with recycled engines and at least 5 hour single-player enjoyment.
How short-sighted of Blizzard. Thank god I'm not buying the console version anyways. -

You absolutely did not understand why they went away from the "tree" system. Also, as you can see in the video, many of their earlier iterations still had a tree system.Posted in: News
Also, nowhere did they say the player is stupid. They said that the player of an ARPG wants to play and not spend hours analyzing the game, which is true. The theorycrafting community in D3 is - whether you believe it or not - quite small. You have not understood anything about this talk.
Furthermore, many people like the new skill system. I've learned to love the freedom of the D3 skill system and don't want to see skill trees ever again. And Wyatt's comments on why skill trees can be bad sometimes are completely valid. Actually, the current system allows for about 3 billion skill combinations, whereas a dependency-oriented skill tree as in D2 has much less options (I don't know the exact number, but it's probably a few hundred or thousand at max).
If you hate the D3 skill system so much, say goodbye to Diablo 3. You will not like any future change as there will be no going back to the D2 skill tree. Have fun playing Path of Exile, it sounds like it's being made for you! -

He explains that players are idiots and cannot make a decision to save their life.
Also, that making items is hard, but now that the skills are still bad, that they can make items to make them less bad.
Could you tell me the link of the video you watched? Because you definitely did not watch the video of Wyatt Cheng.
Nice video that shows why the combat system of D3 is so great and just fighting monsters feels so good. It also makes you appreciate how much work they put into testing and iterating. It makes me wonder how many of the "suggestions" we see coming up here have already been tried out in internal beta testing (i.e., during stages no one knows about). It's so easy to just Photoshop something and say "this is the best idea ever, just implement it" but when actually experimenting with it it turns out to be crap. We just see the outcome. -

How does this work with playing on hardcore? Can I save my character on a USB before each playsession and then reload him if I happen to die?
This can be done, but it should be noted that all of the heroes are stored together with the profile, so all of your characters on the console would be overwritten with the USB version.
Speechless... random disconnects, game crashes, bluescreens and what have you not have killed more PC HC chars than the monsters themselves, and now not only do the consoles get offline play, they even get to save their HC characters!
I feel shafted.
I bet many people would call this "soft HC". How tempting is it to bring back your hero after a self-inflicted death? One of the things I like about HC is that death is absolutely terminal, no way out and no exceptions whatsoever, Blizzard made this pretty clear. It's what gives you the extra adrenalin kick. As soon as I create a USB save game of my HC character, this feeling would be lost. -

That is interesting, especially since they base it on so many scientific studies.
Oh wait, there is none. There is not a single scientific study that proves that video games are in any way more exposed to right-wing propaganda than others. In fact, there is plenty of research on the power of social connectedness in video games. Just look at all the esports events happening at Blizzcon, or Blizzcon itself in general, where people met - despite their background, ethnicity, or whatever. Are there "toxic corners" in video games? Of couse. There's BS everywhere. But this article reminds me of the "killer games debate" that went on in Germany about 10-15 years ago, which was basically one single guy spouting out his nonsense, being invited to every talk show, and not countered by any scientific evidence (of which there is an overwhelming amount, but it just doesn't sell as good).
Disappointed to see this in NPR, of all places. But well, media...

Is it though? I wouldn't call the rumor "fake", just not getting everything 100% right in an attempt to shed some light into the darkness that is Blizzard's PR machinery. Let's look at Blizzard's exact statement in response to the Kotaku article:
"First off we want to mention that we definitely hear our community. We generally don’t comment on rumors or speculation, but we can say that we didn’t pull any announcements from BlizzCon this year or have plans for other announcements. We do continue to have different teams working on multiple unannounced Diablo projects, and we look forward to announcing when the time is right."
"We didn't pull any announcements" is correct if it was never meant for Blizzcon. Also, what does the second part of that sentence mean ([no] "plans for other announcements" - in the last sentence they confirm that they *are* planning on announcing something regarding their multiple unannounced Diablo projects. They do not directly deny that the video was being made. They do not deny any development of Diablo 4. But their cop-out statement also gives them a carte blanche to do whatever they want.
"[W]e definitely hear our community." That's interesting, since when? At Blizzcon? Will there be action based on what you have heard? When? And since when did you hear the community? Because you clearly did not hear the community over the past half year, which unanimously stated (on your own forums!) that we don't want a cheap mobile game or a quick fix to D3 - we want to us to *show* that you care about the Diablo franchise. Selling out the franchise to a Chinese P2W mobile app developer is the opposite of that.
Also, the "multiple unannounced Diablo projects" could be a D2 Remastered (which is definitely in the works, as they officially confirmed that they want to remake all classic games), some D3 low-effort changes like quadruple bounties and goblins or just switching up some numbers to change the meta (Nevalistis: "we're not done with D3 yet"), and some Diablo videos (as they really focus on lots of videos for all the other franchises, and apparently HotS, HS, OW fans are loving it). Also, we haven't even talked about non-gaming stuff (comics, books, the Netflix show, a board game, a movie, ...)
All of this sounds terrible and absolutely ridiculous and cheap and not what we want. But then, as someone who expected *nothing* at Blizzcon, didn't buy a virtual ticket, and focused fully on SC2 while trying to ignore Diablo - even as someone who really expected absolutely nothing I was still super super disappointed, as if they drove a dagger into my guts. Yeah, at this current point we have to assume the worst and I'm absolutely done with "in dubio pro reo" for Blizzard. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Well, we've been fooled with Diablo way more than just once or twice, so at this point, unless they show tangible evidence that they *hear* us, I'm done believing any of their "we have multiple projects in the works" "it's the best time to be a Diablo fan" (yeah this last weekend was the worst time in 22 years to be a Diablo fan).

Sorry, just saw this now. As mentioned in another thread, for some reason the thread notification stopped working and I didn't see new messages in here.
Anyways... it's a lot of work to keep the sharing feature functional each season, and I'll see if I cancel it or what I'm doing in the future, if I find time to update it. Obviously this weekend shifted my priorities as it seems like Diablo is taking a strange turn. The share feature was unfortunately only ever used by a handful of people anyways.

Unfortunately everything he says is true. But also, unfortunately, in Silicon Valley the marketing people have taken over again. This includes, and maybe even started with, ironically, Apple. Especially since he talks about XEROX it really hurts. To anyone interested in the history of computing and so on - Apple never invented anything. NOT A THING. XEROX PARC has been the true invention force in Silicon Valley since the 70s; it was just people like Steve Jobs who were 100% marketing-oriented sharks who took their ideas and turned them into products.
So what does that mean? The video is supposed to fool you into thinking "it's a great product" and you as consumer are in control. When in reality, it's just good marketing, and despite a shit product people are still going to buy it. That's for example exactly the case with the iPad. No one needs it. It serves absolutely no purpose, there is literally zero product design going into it (it's all just technical advancements that made XEROX's visions, like Mark Weiser's UbiComp scenario possible). And then with proper marketing people think they need it, and buy more Apple devices.
Blizzard has been doing the same thing. Just look at this Blizzcon in its entirety. There is ZERO development going on. It's video shorts for many franchises (Hearthstone, Overwatch, WoW) that they sold as new content and big stories on the opening stage. It's some quickly developed random add-ons that just follow a template of the previous ~30ish add-ons for their existing products (new heroes in HotS, new cards in HS, new hero in OW, new co-op commander in SC2). They even sell a simple "remake" as a new product for a fully fledged price (WC:R). There is absolutely no creative, innovative work visible to me; it's all just "use this template to add a new skin and sell another DLC".
That's just the industry these days. What's sad is that Blizzard is following it. They used to be different. But now they're like Steve Jobs... fooling you into buy mediocre, overpriced products that you don't need. Gutted.

What happens is that there's a ton of "legit looking posts" by sleeper bots, and a few days or weeks or sometimes even a month later they're "activated" and edit their posts to have ads in them. Occasionally I try to go through the post history to recognize those but it's a tedious task.
I will not deny though that there's too much spam and it's oftentimes not handled fast enough. But we're short on staff since for quite a while there were no new promising mod applications - again, a symptom of a dwindling community. And what happened today doesn't help...

Can you also share the Champion and Destroyer bosses? Then we're doneEdit: Got the info from Reddit. Tracker is complete for S15 now.

Thanks a lot RealGsuss and Prisnagka! Updated now.

Yeah, I updated the data for S15 a few days ago already - but I don't swap the Journey Tracker before the season has ended, since there's always some people who do it last minute. Now that season has ended, I've switched to the S15 view. As usual we won't know the boss names except for the ones you pointed out. Apparently the data is too difficult to access for Nevalistis, so we'll have to fill in the blanks ourselves. I definitely will miss the season start, just not sure by how much - maybe I'll be just 5 hours late, maybe a few weeks. Last season it took me 8 hours solo (after a power level) to finish Guardian, so maybe I can complete all the info by Saturday evening. We'll see. If anyone is faster post it here and I'll update the tracker.
Have fun everyone in S15!

I can see a user account with that name, looks fine, and you should be able to log in from what I can see. That's all I can see at least... as I said, for more details an admin would have to take a look into it. What error message do you get when you're trying to log in? Maybe just try to reset password?

What is the name of your old account?
I'll tag OSW_Zenkiki so he sees this and can maybe elevate this. The entire switch to Twitch accounts was on the developers side and as a mod there's nothing I can do myself, not sure anyone else can. I thought accounts were automatically merged/transformed or so.

Hm interesting idea, haven't considered that. Didn't make sense so far yet since it would just be "-" for 13 seasons and only one entry. Yeah, maybe I'll add it for the next season!

I think they're working on 3 things:
1) D2 Remastered (this was now basically 100% confirmed I believe in a combination of recent articles and job postings and so on). But if they learned any lesson from SC:R they should know this is not gonna be anything else but calming down the D2 nostalgians.
2) D3 new class and some new features (like that boss chamber that was promised at Blizzcon 2 years ago, some new items, maybe some new events to give us more interesting "themed seasons"). Basically, similar to the necro pack. Why? Because I think even if they work on an entirely new game, D3 is still too fresh to let it completely run out, especially with the recent presentation of themed seasons. I also don't think any new Diablo game would be ready for release right away (unless Blizzard now jumps into Steam-style official "early access" BS) and it'll also be a different genre (like Diablo Battle Royal or Diablo Racing or Diablo Theme Park or Diablo Go or whatever).
3) A new Diablo game, which is not Diablo 4 - neither by name nor by spirit. Worst case they'll just try to put it into an existing genre (like MMO or Battle Royal or so), maybe they revive an old genre (like Adventure or Sandbox - I'd love an RPG-heavy Diablo-esque version of Raft, or Terraria, or Rust, or stuff like that - wishful thinking), and best case they try to define a new genre (back to the roots of Blizzard).
The hype they caused with the video and the disappointment after previous years of toilet-sized Diablo stands would make a presentation of "only" #1+#2 turn this into a big meme of overhyping and underdelivering a franchise, so my hope is that they preview #3 and people get excited enough to waste their time until that is available by coming back to #1+#2.
