I know this may sound like in bad taste, but unless there is something truly awesome in the CE, I likely will be getting the DD over Bnet. My reason for this being that the awesome names I could get (If D3 works like D2) from jumping in the game much sooner than getting a hard copy will last much longer, and make me much happier than w/e extras could be included in a CE.
Now on the other hand D3 names could work like SC2 and you can bet your life I
ll be getting the CE lol
EDIT: Btw in that case I'd rather a In Game Exclusive

If the DD and the hard copy versions come out the same day, wouldn't it be faster if you bought the hard copy on opening night? Installing via disk is much faster than via download.
Unless you're thinking the DD will be available before opening night.
I think it'd be funny if they included a "Behind-the-Scenes" DVD where, for about two minutes, they were just sitting around a table, there's some bullshit written up on a whiteboard, and they're silent until one of them just says, "guys, we really need to get this done." Then it goes into the actual development of the game and what they did, stuff like that. They could make it humorous, that's what I'd like the most, just some form of reflective comedy to make us feel better.
I think it'd be a good homage to the "Great Wait."
And I want a poster flag, a nice case, an artwork book, a soundtrack, and a good-sized strategy guide of some sort. It'd be cool, as an in-game thing, if they included something regarding unicorns or vibrant colors.

I'm hoping the DD will be available at 12 midnight EST to all of the US.. Though I have my doubts it'll work out that way. Hopefully we'll get an answer to this question before release..

It's sad to see that the most popular choice is "Blizzard In-Game Exclusives".
While I have no doubt that the collector's edition will have some type of in-game vanity item, I still find this a highly disturbing trend, and I'm completely against it.
Think of all the people who won't get the collector's edition, or can't because there is a limited supply.
I believe everyone should get access to the same amount of in-game content, and that includes the same access to things as innocuous as additional Battle.net icons or non-combat pets.
Keep the collector's edition and any other future promotions purely out of the game. They should only give physical, tangible, real-world merchandise.
I voted for Ingame Exclusives, but what I really want is an affordable price in my country. The Starcraft II collectors edition was being sold here for the same price as 350 dollars in our currency, that is simply stupid. I can live with the price of 100 dollars, but 350 is outrageous.

I want to groove to the Soundtrack!
