I can also vouch for Razer in my experience. My Razer Onza, which is still rather new age wise has gone through a lot of use in the past few months. I was using it while upholding my Halo Reach records on HaloCharts, along side CoD and BFBC2 during extended play sessions. Guesstimating I'd say it has 300 hours at least on it since I got it in March, and it has no sign of change. The joysticks didn't even break in very much as they do with MS controllers, which I personally like.

Touchdown! BFBC2 is my favorite FPS. Can't wait for BF3.

So pumped, I'm torn between getting it for the PC or Xbox.. I might end up getting both if I feel like being that irresponsible with my money.. BF3 won over 40 awards at E3.. MFW2 can go milk itself dry of cash.. <_<. All the MW Cods have used the same game engine since CoD 2.. Like really?? I play them under peer pressure from my clan, whom are planning to switch from Black Ops/Halo Reach to BF3 exclusively asap .

As for the topic at hand, I plan on buying the Razer Naga Epic come the time I build my PC this fall. I trust in Razer, and I'm attracted to shinny, color changing objects.

Depends what you really want from a mouse. If you are a serious/competitive gamer then you need one of the following:
Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1 SE
Most commonly used mouse by FPS pro-gamers (cs,quake,tf2 etc). I have a few SK-gaming 1.1's laying around as well as the one I am currently using :D. They can withstand a tonne of punishment, great sensor, perfect balance (in terms of no negative acceleration etc). It is a smallish mouse suitable for a 'claw-grip'.
Should be able to pick up a normal IMO 1.1a for ~$30. The SE's and the various MODs of this mouse (Zowie, Steelseries, SK-Gaming) are more expensive.
The next most commonly used mice by FPS pros are: Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 and Logitech mx518(@400dpi) both of which go for about $30.

To this, If your clan has onzas, and good PC's get it for the pc remember you can use the onza on the PC like i'll be doing, but I'm buying both on xbox and PC cuz all my friends are console gamers, Which brings me to my next point since i have an onza I'm wondering if they will allow use of the onza for Diablo. I know maplestory lets me use it albeit limited to just ten buttons but if all buttons are usable it would be absolutely AWESOME.

This is the mouse I had for years... it_won't_die (it will get dirty constantly, though).
I dunno why people would use it for FPS, though. Granted, I don't play FPS much, mostly RPG's and RTS/MOBAs. But in an FPS I'd prefer high sensitivity, which is not something MS is good at, these are for-home mice, after all. +, weak in the ergonomics department. I do like the side buttons, though, but I had trouble with systems recognizing them.
I'll probably never figure out why people like the piece of crap that is Logitech. Had a G5 once, went back to my MS instantly.
It's a shame you had a bad experience, I've been using Logitech stuff forever now and I've been very satisfied with it. My G5 mouse, my G15 keyboard and my 5.1 speaker system have all worked well the entire time I've used them. In fact like I said earlier in this topic the G5 has kept me from switching my mouse out for something else for years now. It's even taken a lot of abuse over the years, particularly when I played a lot of arena in WoW. Had to stop that though it use to frustrate me too much.
I had a G5. I hated everything about it. The design (Logitech does have horrid design on all their gaming mice), the rubbery coating the used, the middle mouse button (ugh), the other buttons, just, everything lol.
I have tried a lot of mice, and personally i prefer wired mice.
This being said the best wired mouse i have tried (and currently use) is the CM Storm Sentinel Advance
it has dual lasers for precision, 5 extra keys, alot different colors, an onboard screen to display DPI setting/logo. On the fly DPI change (useful for FPS when you want to snipe) and all drivers are installed on the mouse so you can plug and play the second its plugged in, and weights so you can change for personal preference.

A Post Concerning The Real-Money Auction House:
"Except real money trading has always been present in Diablo 2. Except now it's going to be officially supported which will reduce scams, prevent the funding of the black market so your kids will no longer be exposed to dangerous life ruining drugs like the cancer causing marijuana."
Equinox in FPS gaming it is all about just having a predictable and balanced mouse in terms of its control. Which is where the IMO 1.1 is just about unrivaled. A lot of the new gaming mice have a bit of negative accel. Especially when run in their high DPI mode which is why the FPS guys run the mx518 at 400dpi.
I have a regular Naga, but I would really like to get an epic naga. I absolutely can not stand a cord on my mouse. I need at least 3,000 DPI to play my games efficiently though.
I require at least a five button mouse. (Left, Right, Middle, Forward/Back)
With the Naga I will probably map certain abilities to 1-4 and 6. This is the shortest range of motion for your thumb when it comes to actively using skills.
I find it crazy that people use crazy mouse. The most basic 5$ moue works for me, as long as it lasts, is wireless, doesn't have a delay, and has a mousewheel. More buttons to use just feels extremely awkward for the right hand while its on the mouse.
Its funny, though. I'm upgrading my computer so much, but a 5$ keyboard and a 5$ mouse is all I want to have, along with a 17 inch screen. While I never see anyone (almost) with a screen that small or cheap keyboard/mouse these days. Crazy.

I don't see how you can use those 1000 DPI mice. It drives me nucking futs.
Okay, so I put it back at 6/11 and it really feels no different. I don't get why 3000 DPI is too much...

Yeah you'll probably never feel a difference. And for the DPI part I'm sure that you get used to it. I personally feel anything above 1,800 is too much.
That could be the case. I've been using 3000 dpi for a little over a year now =/. It felt like it was a ridiculous amount at first but I just used it until I was comfortable with it. To be honest, the wire has been bothering me so much I've considered buying one of the 2000 DPI Wireless mice.
I have been using 400 dpi since I played CS competitively when I was still in high school (played between 12-17 years old from first beta release to retail 1.5 when I quit due to study commitments). I am 23 now so I have been using 400dpi for 10 years. Anything above that feels crazy to me.
A 3000dpi mouse would probably make me start to feel dizzy and sick lmao.

Omg 400? That's so ridiculously slow. Yeah you have precision...but I can turn so much quicker than you AND have precision. I replaced the 1000 DPI because it FELT slow, even on the desktop....I can't imagine 400.
Okay I set my naga to 400 dpi...and all I can say is......how?

I must do a lot of crack or something.
PS: I'm the best mouse for the job ;D
Well it really depends on your in-game sensitivity as well but yes it can be slow if you are not used to it. Of course for FPS games control and accuracy is everything. Especially in competative cs where if you miss your first shot you are as good as dead. When I used to play competative CS I actually had my Z and C keys bind to +left, and +right which would spin my quickly in that direction. So If I needed to do a quick 180 spin, i would not use my mouse but use my C key to turn quickly to the right.

Yes, I play at or over 3,000 DPI. I can't stand the speed when it's lower than that. I'm pretty precise with it too. O.o.
Even 2800 starts to feel sluggish for me.
8/11. Should I increase that? The speed doesn't really bother me as it is...I'll try maxing and seeing what it does XD
With 11/11 sensitivity I slightly overshoot things, but not by much.
