Yeah, well what kinda of story would you prefer then.
The only fantasy storylines that I have ever accepted as original were LotR and Chronicles of Amber. Everything else is stealing on top of stealing.

Lol thats the best storyline that is out there
What happened to all the Fallout fans then... or all those DnD guys and everything. I don't really measure which storyline is better, they have their differences. I just found that, first of all, Diablo's storyline failed to involve me. I was severely bored with reading all those dialogues. And every time I did all I could say was "Why am I reading this?" Ooh, we have a rogue encampment, and a monastery, and an old woman who follows some Great Eye, and it's not like anyone tells us what the heck is that Great Eye is, anyway. Maybe they did in some later dialogues, I got bored reading them, eventually. Like, every act I get specks of information, and every cinematic progresses the story, but overall, the information is lacking and incomplete. In-game stories would be nicer.
And please don't tell me to read the manual and the books, they have nothing to do with the actual game and the books wouldn't ever be created if they game did not get as popular as it did. The only games that I will forgive an "outside" storyline are games like DooM and Heretic where technology was too underdeveloped to fuse a proper storyline. The game must contain the storyline. If I want to actually read a book, or a manual, I'll read something like Dune, which owns any Blizzard book ever written.

It's not whats in the story, it's how all those things in it are connected and played out  hehe
Mmm, yeah, if there is anything to connect them, that is.
I picked the storyline simply because Diablo is a great story and I am wondering where it will pick up and head off to in this newest game. A close second for me is the items. It seems that a good majority of the items have a backstory behind them and are all very unique in their own way. I'd have picked both if I could.

All praise Diablo Lord of Terror Survivor of the Dark exile. I wove my story.

I really enjoyed the storyline of both diablo I and II. This gives Diablo a purpose and really motivates the player to advance/complete quests. Actually, I am really into the whole Diablo 3 overall atmosphere.
I know the story line will be great but I'm most interested in seeing the new powers and skill sets. I love acquiring new powers, I think because I would really like to have them in RL.
I'm an Artist myself, i voted "The Enemies/ Allies"
When Diablo I came out, i spent all day just staring at the awsome creations the character artist had made. ("The Butcher" is by far my favorite character)
Then DIablo II came out, and i spent more time looking through the manual at the Beasts, and other Characters (The "Frozen Horror" i think, are the coolest in this one)
Diablo III, well, i've only seen 1 really awsome looking beast in this one, you've probably already guessed, "The SiegeBreaker" looks awsome, I can't wait.
edit: Oh YAH! i forgot The Skeleton King, King Leoric, awsome, and is appearing in Diablo III too? correct
I'm really just nervous to see if this will actually conclude the storyline or not. If it does, it could either mean the franchise would officially be ending, or, well, dare I say it? The Diablo MMOARPG would be on it's way. *Ducks for flame-retardant armor.*
