An eventual Act 6 would most certainly not be centre element to charge for.
See Reaper of Souls:
The Main element - that totally changed the game was adding a completely new game mode with "Adventure Mode".
At least half of the expansion's price has to be tagged to that. A new class and/or a new act are FAR less work.
That's why we will only get a class pack btw (small team now!)
At the current status there is only a very small chance that we will still get the once planned 2nd expansion - unfortunately.
Because i am sure there is still a huge demand for NEW; FRESH CONTENT - and not continue playing the same (G)rifts over and over again just with a new class or classes.
What we really need has to be shaking up the gameplay thus breathing fresh air into the game and this can only be achived with a totally new 3rd gamemode whatever that might be.
Though I definately would prefer a physical release I won't be unhappy with a BIIIIG expansion-like DLC.
I am wondering if they are hoping this legendary infusion thing can achieve that.
Being able to take base legendary abilities and put them on another item of choice is a unique way to open up several gear slots, depending on how it is designed.
Regarding the Extraction of a Legendary item from a cube, I am happy they are removing that. That being said, how can they not tweak the formula to just make it NEVER give an Ancient of that item? Either way, it seemed pointless, because the argument was wanting to cube an item asap, but when you get a perfect rolled item, you are going to keep it and collect another to cube, so it is very redundant and a waste of resources when compared to normal stash space.
If there are going to be 2 more hero packs, and the next is indeed druid then the third should be something completely different. 2 revisited classes is enough nostalgia/fan service. If they were given creative freedom lets see what they can truly come up with that gives us a real fresh experience.
Does playable class have to be a human? How about a Khazra hero! Or a demon who defects? Happened with Lilith right? If the nephalem angle has to be retained, and they have to be human, how about one of those cultists? Theres already a bounty where one comes good.
It looks like you took quite a few liberties with this new recipe that was datamined. It sounds to me like it is the recipe Wyatt was referring to that was removed. Infusing the power onto an item and would likely requires white version of the original item along with some other mats to create the legendary the same manner that this "Natala" did in the he lore that was also datamined. For example you would need a white 1 handed sword, and probably bounty mats and deaths breath, maybe even a number of souls to craft this after extracting the power of it, and honestly the last thing the game needs is an easy way to gear up (providing it could roll ancient). If it could not roll ancient it would be useless.
Most of D3's problems for those that have played since vanilla and logged 1000s of hours result in a lackluster end game that always results in paragon farming to progress. This is not fun and as they made the leveling and gearing easier through power creep they removed the longevity for a lot of players. I thoroughly enjoyed d3 and played it at its worst and at its best. I just no longer have any interest in doing the same routine every season. For those that haven't played the game very much or haven't played RoS, I would still recommend Diablo 3. And I do think blizzard has done a wonderful job reworking and fine tuning the game along the way, and have provided a ridiculous amount of content post ros for no charge at all. I do not mind that the necro is paid dlc, they are a business after all. I just wish they put that time and energy into another "adventure mode" type game mode to change up the end game rather than just add a new class to run through the same content (and would be fine for that to be paid dlc or expansion).
Exactly gain THE item back. The original item, not the same power on any piece of gear. You would gain the item back by infusing a regular item with that power. At least that's my interpretation of it.

I'd rather get something new than the rehashing of all the old classes. I'm happy we are getting Necro, I'd be happier if it were Assassin, and this is pretty much everyone right now. Some people are really happy Necro is coming, some people are happy but would prefer Druid, some would prefer something else, etc... They should just give us new, I think they should game break, I honestly like that way of doing expansion and packs. Then they can go back and retool what they broke, it makes a more interesting experience.
So you want there to be extract legendary power recipe to destroy items and add their power to the cube and an extract legendary power recipe to add a power from the cube to an item.... that wouldn't be confusing....

I am sorry, there is a clear language barrier here and you simply do not understand English.
With the idea that the Necromancer is an Int based class, if Druid were released as a strength based class; I think it makes the most sense if Blizzard went either a ranged melee class similar to the Amazon, or something more stealth like such as a rogue.
The idea of a class built around duel wielding daggers like a rogue intrigues me because the concept is already in the game. Daggers naturally roll lower DPS than any other weapon in the game, and they could use that to their advantage when creating duel dagger synergies in the sets or passive skills even. Imagine one of the first passives you unlock is a 50% damage bonus while duel wielding daggers...or something along those lines. Something like this would make legendary daggers viable to use on hand and not "cube only" options which right now seems to be an issue in the game.
Also, having this idea of a stealth or surprise could be an interesting mechanic within the game.
Since the Necromancer had 3 properties as well when being developed, I will do the same here. I think the following things to keep in mind here when designing the Rogue/Shadow class are as follows:
1. Dagger Mastery
2. Stealth
3. Combos
The combo aspect could be a very new and exciting introduction to D3's current playstyle. If there were certain skills that triggered other skills via runes or even passives, this could be a really cool concept. Balancing could potentially be an issue though.
I'd like an Amazon but I don't see how they could retrofit them into D3 with them being exclusively female. I don't want a male Amazon, but I don't want a generic alternative for such an iconic class either.
It could be something like a greek warrior that would be simlar to an amazon. something like spear shield combo or bow (despite the demonhunter i think there is enough room for more bow skills).
The main reason I think that there's going to be more classes (or other kinds of packs, but what else can you sell?) is because they're adding an in-game shop. You don't do this if you're going to sell 1 DLC there.
I would love to see something like an Amazon. I really feel like spears and polearms are underused and underrepresented in the game. Although, I'm not sure if it can be literally an Amazon, since every hero has both male and female variations. But they can think of a different name/lore for a Dex-based class, while maintaining the focus on spears/polearms. I'm not sure about bows though as this niche is already taken by DH.
For Str-based class, I would really love to see a ranged-oriented playstyle. Not really sure how it can be done, but so far both Str classes are melee, so it would be a nice change. Maybe something focused on throwing weapons, which didn't really become popular with Barb.

Agreed, just hope it isn't going to be a micro-transaction extravaganza of pay 2 win
There won't be any more char packs for diablo 3. Its a dead horse. One does not beat a dead horse in the giftbasket.
They are hiring a lot of dudes for a new unanounced diablo project that is supposed to bring diablo to the future, They gonna work on that, not another class for a dead game. A new class won't make people who are tired of the game come back and stay back. They will try the necro and then go away again. within months. If even that.
My guess is that they worked on a new expac for d3. With the necro as its new class, Mid way they decided to scrap it and start on the new diablo game. They had done so much work on the necro so they could release it as a char pack. This won't happen again.
Xul the Necro was the first hero in HotS from Diablo universe that hadn't existed in D3 for that current moment, and now necro is close to release.
Few month ago Amazon was added into HotS, her video has a reference about Skovos Isles. I believe - she will be the next hero with her own pack) will see in future)

Fingers crossed HotS adds a Druid

I just do not get how you assume this from the video.
The video CLEARLY says putting an item IN THE CUBE, and then being able to TAKE IT OUT. Thus you lose the cube power, but gain the item back.
Path of The Druid will be next character pack.
Reign of The Warlord (possible)
Call of The Viking (possible)
March of The Samurai (possible)

I'd love some kind of shape shifter. Doesn't HAVE to be druid either, as long as it has abilities/playstyle similar to the old Fury Wolf from D2.
I'd like an Amazon but I don't see how they could retrofit them into D3 with them being exclusively female. I don't want a male Amazon, but I don't want a generic alternative for such an iconic class either.
Druid is definitely a must though.
