Well I made a random tweet and emailed them. Man they're going to have to go through a lot of entries... unless they just pick a random one and only check that email.
Good news, we can try to win a key again. Bad news, no January release date, but doesn't mean we can't get an announcement in January. Heres to hopes of end of February or early March!
Can we Link our twitter profile page, or do we have to have a link to the specific tweet, if its the specific tweet, I don't know how to get a link to just that, any one help?

anyone else find it...strange... that this janurary non-confirmation comes when news of Koreans being assholes and postponing D3 rating, comes to light??

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...

[puts tinfoil hat on] Haha this is funny, but smart. Blizz is now using Twitter to get people to participate in the beta contest! First FB, now Twitter. They want as much people following D3/Blizz as they can!
There has been rumours that socializing (FB especially) is gonna play a big part in Titan, whenever that game is getting released. [takes tinfoil hat off]

They have little "initial-game-content" left to give us (except runestone system and that "The World" stuff on D3 site) as far as I know from now till release. Then there's that "Day in the Life of" interviews that's currently being stretched out and all the "added" content they keep us updated with (simplified tooltips, redesigning, polishing ect).
Waiting every week for beta keys to be announced is better than getting wallpapers every week at least. <_<
Remeber when all you had to do was tell Blizzard you want to be a beta tester and you had a relatively equal chance to be selected as the next guy?? At least with the Facebook contest, they offered an option for those not on Facebook to be a part of the contest. That doesn't seem to be the case here. I'd be very surprised if they aren't already picking opt-in testers based at least in part on their history as a WOW subscriber. It just seems like at every turn if you're not friending them, or tweeting with their hashtag, or have a history of subscribing to WOW, you will have less of a chance of being able to participate in their beta. Can't we just have equal opportunity with the only possible exception of picking opt-ins based on computer specs?? At least I can understand why that is taken into consideration given the goals of the beta. All this other crap just makes it seems like they want to play favorites and/or make you work for your invite - it has no relation to the actual beta whatsoever. I'm usually not into getting something for nothing rather than working for it, but this seems to be taking it too far for me. I'm not going to join Twitter just for what is likely to be some 1 in a many thousands shot at getting a beta key. After all, I've waited this LONG, haven't I?
Seems kind of odd that they need you to tweet at them directly AND use their hashtag AND then email them a link to the tweet itself. Each of those things are easily tracked on twitter itself easily, which makes it seem pretty redundant. Maybe the email to the tweet is supposed to weed out people just massing tweets? Not sure why they would require you to do all 3.
