I know nobody seems to care about the monk, but someone back me up on this?
I really dont want to see different weapon specific skills, I dont want to have to make a "staff monk" and then make a " sword monk" and then make a " spear monk" "fist monk"
etc etc,
it just takes all of the fun out if it, restricts what builds you can make, limits
diversity, and does not add to replayability what so ever, it just makes you put whatever weapon you find that doesnt go with your skills on your mule character, to use later when you make that """ staff monk""
No amen from me. I barely understood what you even said. I'm confident though you'll be able to build any class in a more diverse way than you did in D2.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RUIN THE MONK!!! He has been a disaster from the begining, how can you ruin something that's already ruined?
And i wouln't be TOO worried bout making a bunch of different monk specs depending on weapon, he can only equip battle staves, spears, and fist weapons. Personnaly i h8 the monk -__-

They ruined the monk how? But then you go on to say you personally hate the Monk. ffffffffffffffffff
I think that the same skills will work slightly diferent with each and every item. I would not worry about Blizzard fucking up the Monk, seriously. I mean it looked like they are really liking him and obviously they spend much time polishing everything.
I don't think any class is going to be weapon specific. D2 had the javelin/bow separation but I don't think D3 will follow this. Most of the Monk's skills seem to be holy spell casting or just melee skills nothing with particular weapons. The only thing I can imagine them adding is a claw enhancing skill(passive) to try to gear players towards that style like the assassin but no skills that require a certain weapon equipped.

I think it's too soon to say anything is ruined unless you've played the latest version of what they have done, which I doubt any of us have unless someone secretly works for Blizzard.
In which case, fuck you. Fuck you and getting the position I would give my left nipple for.
I see nothing wrong with weapon specific skills. I think they are a plus. Especially if his entire tree is not specialized and only certain skills are weapon specializations.
