- Fixed a bug that caused millions of people to suspect a release date is appoun us.
- Fixed a bug that prevented us from hesitating on keeping the game away, and shall now promptly sit on our selves as we "polish" the game.
- Fixed a bug that caused Diablo Fans to speculate on known issues as being signs of release.
Beta Patch 12 additional fixes.
-Fixed an issue that almost allowed AcidReign to recieve a beta key, he shall now promptly join the "No beta Club" along side everyone else and appoun release he shall be givin the ban hammer as a gesture of our thanks for waiting.
Nothing good in the patch guys =(
[well bug fixes ARE good, but you know what I mean, no sexy hidden changes]
Maybe cause they filled in all the sexy they needed? I think this is a good thing though. Another patch just a few days after Patch 10 makes me think that we are very close to release date. But it could just be that the bugs were easy to fix.
please please stop, i got a fizzing felling in me pants when you said about patch soon after patch is good news hehe

I think they included that fix in Beta Patch #1. Not sure, I'll have to check.
I though it was too cool to be something simple coded. And taking the head apart of my body... surely I wasn't going alive again =D
Maybe it is a good feature for Hardcore... someone suggest this on the d3 off forums for the expansion
Oh I'm almost certain these along with many of the other features (companions =P) will make it in before another Xpac. It feels, and I hope I'm right, that they have finally decided exactly what to focus their efforts on (cmooooon runestones) to get the game out at a reasonable date.
I hate to admit this, but everything I seem to read from them lately is some variation of "We like X feature but are scrapping it due to time constraints. We need to stay on course to release the game on time and have more important things to balance. Hopefully it will be implemented (revisited) after launch."
It just feels like they bit off more than they can chew with this game. How else could so many key mechanics be drastically overhauled or removed this late in the game? I enjoy the transparency of the development process, but it's hard not to scrutinize how things are going when a game misses a projected release window only to be revamped/gutted shortly thereafter.
I can't help but feeling that we were purposely misled with the death animations.
If it is not in the game, then don't show it in "gamplay footage", or teaser trailers.
That is just a form of lying IMHO.
Additionally I do not belive them when they say they will try to implement these things later. Thanks to the SC2 Clan support not having been implemented yet, even though they claimed it would be implimented soon after release. That was something I considered fairly simple in comparison to these "death animations".
Although I have these criticisms I do NOT want them to release the game early as they seem to be under pressure to do. If they release it, I want it be as good as they claim it will be, even if it takes another year.
Unfortunately this is seeming more and more unlikely.
Blizzard, if you are reading this. Please don't release until your ready, don't stain your reputation because forum goers are pressuring you to release.
We all want this game to be EPIC, let's let it become that way. Let's let it soar beyond our wildest expectations!
It actually seems from all the b%$#&ing they are rushing the game out! They are scrapping a bunch of things they wanted in the game to begin with that would of made it "perfect" in their mind... Monk not getting their weapons included in the skill animations... Might as well put in a feature to turn off the weapon sprites! Someone that has a Blizzard account please notify Blizzard because it would make it a little less... lame
It is kind of sad that all these things are getting removed, but lets face it, if the game wasn't so delayed we would not have realized most of these changes ever happened.
I played most of the WoW betas as well and I got to say they change more then Diablo has so far, I'll use Heroic Leap for example, that was in beta for The Burning Crusade, every warrior absoultly loved it, however blizzard didn't, and just before release they removed it for "techincal difficulties" bullshit...they just didn't want fury warriors having all the fun, so they waited an xpac and gave it to everyone..jerks...but anyways, warriors were furious at the time, by the time release for TBC came out...people had no cared they got titans grip, and completely forgot about heroic leap until Wrath.
I have no doubt that some of these things will be implimented, probably in an expac or future content release, after playing the beta, some of the things just seemed off...like the stone of Jordan..I didn't like it, it teleported you to town, but then left the TP for you to return...something about that just seemed..off, I always liked the feature of when you created a TP, someone else could enter.
With the Cube, you had no reason to go back to town other then to craft, I like that you need to go back to town in order to sell or salvage your items, it makes sense.
Pets were useless anyways, all they did was gather gold that your lazy ass could easily do yourself.
have you guys considered the death animation isnt a big deal at all? i dont plan on dying. ever. or insanley rarely by playing very defensive and strategicly. and if you play HC you DEF dont want to ever die to even see the animation. so again, who gives a sh*t

This is how i feel as well. Cool feature that will not be something for players to work towards. "Hey guys, im gonna let this boss kill me because i like the animation better than the loot." Ya right...

Why not? Haven't you ever done that in another game? I know I have. Yeah, that's right: I have died in games, on purpose, just to see some things that you only see when you die. What's the problem with that?
not a problem. my point was its just not some big deal like some people are making it. literally getting super mad because there not implementing it before release

You've never done this? Really? When playing a high graphic game, I like dying (especially to bosses) just to see if it looks awesome when you do so. Remember Dragon's Lair? Dying was a big part of the fun. Even Space Quest or King's Quest. Seeing the awful ways you could die was a huge part of the game.
I don't really care if they are gone, but death animations are always a cool little thing to add. I'd rather have this in my hands than have it wait for complex animations, though. That is for sure.
Plus, it'd make hardcore that much more awful to die. Imagine being at the siegebreaker and him ripping you in half. Game over. Puts a stamp on it, doesn't it?
I have always liked death animations and if they arnt in the game in going to be a little sad but it wont stop me from playing plus I hope to never see the animation being a HC player but boss death animations are fun
