Yea the second I read it I thought of the Catholic situation. I think he wants to show how many people would be ticked off and try to close it down if it wasn't associated with religion.
Regardless, I'd probably just take my kid out, make sure he wasn't molested and tell all the parents I associate with. No sense making a huge fuss about it.... if all the parents pull out all their children there will be no one to molest anyway. Problem solved.
Dealing with lawsuits and all is way too drawn out. In my opinion the amount that people rely on their lawyers and sue for everything is absurd. Solve the problem quickly and peacefully by yourself, and move on with your lives.
I wonder what they'd say after going through that- I mean, a child hasn't gone through puberty yet, and there aren't many kids that talk about sexual abuse, so I don't think they'd understand what really happened when they were molested... or something... It's gross to think about. No child should ever encounter a situation like that

But once they got older, they would understand what they had went through ... and nothing but bad things stem from that.

And why would it matter afterwards? Unless they have been taught all that rubbish about "shame", it should only remain a memory to them. Unless it has already traumatized them in the past, it should not affect them later... >>

Understand as in them going, "WTF" and being ashamed of what happened to them for no reason, but they probably would. That's not something you'd want to tell anyone if you didn't know any better.

Their response should be dissatisfaction and anger. There is nothing shameful in being molested or raped, it's about time government beat that into their citizens' heads.

The only reason why you would not tell that to society is because society, for some screwed up reason, thinks it's a very bad thing or something. Of course, if society is going to look down/pity the molested, nothing good is going to grow out of those with weak stances on life...

Of course that's what it SHOULD be, but 90% of the time that's not what it is.

So you're saying we should just treat them like everyone else? Sort of like, "Eh, get over it, you'll be alright."
Isn't that like you disliking trainers because they say that about injuries?
I would sue the daycare, because that is wrong and immorale. I would want to punish them more, but we have laws against that. I would want them to suffer for doing that to my child.

Yes. And I am saying that's a problem. And if you will continue to go with "nothing good is going to grow out of them", it will continue to be a problem.

How do you treat a person who broke their bone? For some time, you bother with them, if they are if your friend, that is. Then you leave them alone. You don't nag them their entire life "Oooh, you were molested, how horrible!" You don't treat them like they have cancer. In fact, you don't treat those who have cancer like they have cancer. That behavior is annoying, disrespectful, and uncalled for. If a person is alive, treat them like they are, not like their life is forsaken or broken.

Trainers do not show expertise in what they do, that's why I dislike them. Trainers are supposed to treat the injuries. They don't, they put ice on them. They tell you to get out earlier than medically recommended. They pressure you because their salary will be higher if you win a game for them. The situation is so different here I don't even understand why did you bring it up. It's not like molestation is anything that can be fixed, or anything that happens expectedly to a certain person.
Lets say you have a son. Now little Jimmy is in a daycare. You find out that thousands and thousands of employees from that daycare line were molesting little children.
Just a quick question, are there any daycare companies with so many employees? I thought most of them were just a bunch of two bit operations.

Would you:
A) Say, "It's ok. We forgive you."
Obviously not.
Quote from "LinkX" »
Take your child out of the daycare but nothing else.
I'd take them out at least.
Quote from "LinkX" »
C) Sue the hell out of the daycare and attempt to get it closed for molesting so many children?
This isn't all I'd do if I knew specifically who was molesting my children, God forbid.
Quote from "LinkX" »
D) Ignore it and leave little Jimmy in the daycare.
Seems to much like the first option. But I reckon if I did live little Jimmy there, that must be one hell of a daycare, the molesting aside.
i would sue the owner of the establishment if it happened to my kid but if it didn't then i would just take my kid out and into another daycare or take a break from work to watch him/her

Are you saying that someone being raped doesn't matter or just that it shouldn't be recurrently brought up every time that person is around?
I still wouldn't sue though. Make it as public as I could I would, and take the daycare out by other means.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
