I really like the Zakarum ranks. But I can't help but wonder if we can squeeze a few more in there to make it more interesting. And I'm not sure how I feel about it jumping to Ancient and Nephalem either. Ancients were just another name for specific Nephalem.
Sure. But, do you have any suggestions? The only other thing I can think of is Edyrem, even though it is similar to Nephalem. You're right, Ancient and Edyrem are just specific types of Nephalem, but then 'Nephalem' can be too.
Nephalem: Can either refer to fully powerful humans in general, OR specifically refer to the first-generation of humans (Rathma, Bul-Kathos)
Ancients: "Spirits of the Nephalem". Once normal humans without power (specifically Barbarians), they were granted the power of the Nephalem (through Bul-Kathos?) so they could guard the Worldstone. The fact that they were granted power and were not first-generation seperates them from true Nephalem.
Edyrem: Humans that were once normal, but who's powers were awoken by Uldyssian during the Overthrow of the Cathedral and the Triune period. Again, these guys are not first-generation, so they aren't true Nephalem.
All three types of 'Nephalem' have approximately the same potential for power, though possibly in a slightly different way. The Edyrem's powers are different to first-generation Nephalem, as Rathma states that over time their powers have evolved/mutated. Not sure if that also applies to the Ancients though.
In order of power, I would say that true Nephalem (first-generation) are the most powerful, Ancients come in second and Edyrem come third, simply because the Nephalem were born that way, while Edyrem had to learn it from scratch and Ancients were lucky to be granted it (instant power, no effort involved).
I really like the Horadrim ranks. I just don't know how accurate they really are, given the sparse amount of information we have on their order.
I too cannot vouch for their accuracy.
What was the status on getting the brown wooden bar with the skill icon to display the rank on? Possible or impossible?
Possible. I think. Instead of making a user title, I make a user rank. From my understanding, User titles can only be text. Where as a rank can be text/and or an image.
So to which the next course of action becomes Which imagery we want.

You can't have [Image][text] or [Image] [Text] or even the reverse, on the same line.
You can only have;
[TEXT]
[Image]
I thought I explained that eariler?

They aren't much bigger than the skill ones. Quest icons are 50x50 skill icons are 48x48
Nephalem
The Nephalem
And sizes can be altered in a program such as paint.
I don't think it's possible to have the image and text side be side. Not unless you make them both one in the same.
The Nephalem or Nephalem (or the reverse, text/image)
With some kind of background.
And in regards to the quest icons I like the icon for;
Specter - a "shadowy" figure locked in a cage only looking on.
Faithful - The hammer, a weapon synominous with faith in medieval fantasy
Hierophant - The book of untold knowledge, something a priest usually emerses himself in.
High Council Member - With the actually quest icon for them in the game.
Que-Hagan - THe soulstone of Mephisto, since it was into the Que-Hagan, that his soulstone was placed.
Nephalem - The angel, a posistion someone might hope to one day ascend to.
Not sure the summoner is the best fit for the Ancient rank.

I only used Nephalem because it's an awesome title.
A user title (which we have now) can only be text. A user rank (which we don't have) I believe can only be an image. Titles and ranks cannot be on the same line.
It is always;
Title
Rank
To have both, you need to make an image for a rank where in you have both, then I make it so only user ranks show.
I am really sure I have explained this before several times.
So it looks like in order to have both on the same line to save space, we need an image with both on it, so I put it to you the people to design some, for us to vote on the best ones. The winning one of course being implimented.

Basically I am interesting in seeing various concepts of this nature, proposing different ideas for the user rank. Skills icons, Quest icons, heck surprise me with something new.

I'm downloading paint.net right now, I personally like that concept, but it may need some refining. I think I will go with a bar like that, Im afraid of making it too tall.
I just figured out something. If I make it so titles are actually ranks, I will get one, as ranks are applied to all users, be the Admin, Mod or Regular user.
So in short I will be an actual Nephalem, not just an honorary one, which I am now, being that I am one in post total only, since custom title overrides user titles.
Which brings up another point. since user ranks don't override user titles, if I leave titles in, those of us with custom titles, can have both. But there are weirdo issues.
Originally, custom titles were used to denote status as a mod or admin, but now that usernames are colour coded, I do not mind losing my custom title, in favour of becoming a Nephalem.
