The SOPA issue just got brought up by Stephen Colbert tonight. Millions more people now know the government is trying to control the internet and muffle creative expression. I hope this helps people push the issue that this SOPA bill is WRONG! Woo-hoo thanks Colbert!
that guy is my hero. he has a good amount of ppl watching him so it will help.
ps. you double posted, quick change it before a mod QQ's!

I have such mixed feelings on Colbert. I love his character because he's hilarious, and he's always been funny in everything he's done since I first saw him back on The Daily Show. However, I'm a moderate Republican and I know his character is just that (a character) and is intended to make fun of the people I agree with and to make fun of some of my points of view. In reality he's fairly liberal (which everyone sound be able to tell just because of how blatantly conservative his character is) but I know he's a comedian so in the end I laugh and love him. I wish he (Stephen Colbert, the character) was my father!
P.S. - I don't see my double post, maybe a mod cleaned it up already? I know I posted a completely different reply right BEFORE mentioning Colbert. Right before as in, the prior post, not as in right before time-wise.
And I ironically enjoy O'Riley! How delightful lol.
Did you mean un-ironically?
Hmm I don't know, I'm starting to get confused on what is & isn't ironic between me liking someone who has the same views in character and opposite ones out of character, then you liking someone who has opposite views and has no alter-personality. But whatever, I'm sure my point was caught.

I think your point was we both enjoy the ironic humor in watching each others punditry. Which I would agree with you on.
I would be remiss if I didn't also point out though; that means we're making a direct comparison between Fox News and Comedy Central. I find that an apt juxtaposition. =)

ONLY because Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, D.F.A. directly makes his show in homage to "Papa Bear" Bill O'Reily.

The government wouldn't be "shutting down" anything with either of these bills, they'd only be blocking domain names. I wouldn't mind a 10TB server though, think of all the porn I could download.................

I've been neglecting to download a few movies I want because I heard (on specific ones at least) about people their net pulled because of major movie companies sending DMCA takedown notices to ISPs. Really disheartening shit.

download peer guardian 2. IP blocker. it doesnt make you undetectable because thats impossible, if the government wanted to track YOU (like your a terrorist or something) they could but as far as them building the lists to send out, you wouldnt be on it. just have it active during all illegal downloads. my brother and i have been using it for over 6 years (well peer guardian 1 :P), combined im sure we've downloaded well over 10 million dollars in illegal software/movies/tv shows/music

Internet is an different dimension, and can not be compare to our law and morality.
Take an example. I bought Diablo 2, I can run it without CD inside, and have fun.
I'm so excited that I borrow it to my friend( It is Illegal, because He should buy it. )
I am nice and calm Man who like to share with my friends. My friends have friends, and their
friends have friends, so for been kindly to others people, make You an Thief and Criminal ?
I don't think so.
I know The topic is bigger than this sample, but think for while.
I am not from U.S or anyway. That doesn’t matter.
In my country was an case VS Man who gave hes food to poor people ( Hes baker ), and he got jailed
till he pay the bill ( to fisc/ Inland Revenue). Because it was for free... Does that mean, if I could “miracle”
copy my food and send it to Poor people I have to pay to maker. Then, who is maker? Why I have to pay
when I did for my part?
Now I fell bad for all people ;/.
Hilary Clinton recently remarked something along the lines of "internet access is a right" when asking leaders of foreign countries to NOT block access. Maybe society is moving towards the thought that all of humanity has a right to non-infringed-upon-web-access? I sure hope so...
About this baker however, he should learn his lesson and instead have a jar marked "Take A Penny / Leave A Penny" full of pennies (or whatever currency his region uses) and then sell a bunch of his baked goods to homeless guys for 1 cent. Perfect workaround to tell the government to fuck itself.
Yes but it creates a precedent (for so called "western countries"), a model that can be used for others, like Europe.
Also what happens there often affects us all.
What you can do if you're not an american is quite simple, just spread the words.
^This. I'm not sure if you know this or not Enkeria, but America is kinda a big deal. People know us. We're very important. We have many leather-bound books & our apartment smells of rich mahogany.

A good video by TotalBiscuit about the act.
Also, very well said.
Way good video, should be spread around as much as possible, get the word out to the "every-man".
