hey im just curious on what people look for in a game.
for me, i tend to look at the storyline and the character design, and something out of the ordinary,( cause since you hve the power to create anything u want , why make it all normal and plain and stuff)
I just look at the game from all aspects, storyline, chacter depth, design, graphics, etc. I rate my games best on the best games in the genre, if its an fps i put it up against half life 2, if its an rpg i put it against d2 and so forth. What i really hate are crappy games that look like they were made within 2 days. Like "Path of Neo" "Enter the Matrix" "The hulk"
i look at the box for about 20 minutes... and if its a sequal or such i look alot less
i happened to notice the box for titans quest today... on the back pc gamer was comparing it to diablo... that made me proud that a game so old was compared to a game so new

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
in RPGs i look for story, atmosphere, character design, flowing cameplay, balanced skills (i want the crazy character i'll make to be actually able to kill all bosses). Graphics dont bother me too much, i just want them to add some atmosphere to the game.
in shooters and such i only need story and graphics (halflife 2 rocked).
If im loookin for an rpg i look at chara developement and storyline, if its a fps i look at storyline, weapons, and graphics. Graphics in rpg's dont bother me that much if they arent good, as long as the gameplay is good. Best RPG ever is zelda.
-longivity/replayability i dont want ot finish the game in 36 hours or less then never play it again, or for a while
-compelling and griping story
-great and diverse characters
-good graphics, they dont have to be great hell i still play Diablo and those graphics are going on 10 yrs
-lots of combinations of weapons and items, but depending on the game and how i feel i may just go with items i like, but the ability to choose is a must
-entertaining NPCs farnham was soo funny
-free to play
ill edit this if i think of more

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Interactive 3D environment
Numberous choices for characters
Endless choices for quests
Cause and effect gameplay
Great Story
3D animation and interaction with NPC's
and . . . killing things.

I can't actually say. Some games that I should not like I do, and some games I should like I don't. But what I am looking for is replayability, massive content, great story and magic (yes I almost don't play anything that doesn't have magic in it).
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
