wow, WOW hold your horses there buddy, just because blizz shitted on WoW, does not meen you should quit on D3, because u sure as hell gave that impression.
I heard from a general gaming forum on another site, that they are adding a panda type race for the next expansion, that was originally shown in warcraft as a gag joke lol, what morons(as if WoW wasn't crappy enough).
Um... as if the damn D&D universe didn't have plenty races to choose from, Blizzard really needs to get with the program(sigh that goes for everyone of their games, not just WoW).
So Gamestop has the CE listed on their website, but it says that it isn't eligible for in-store pickup. Anyone have and experience pre-ordering from Gamestop? Do I need to go into the store to pre-order or will I eventually be able to use the website for it?
The D3 aesthetic artifact just sold me the collectors edition (I wasn't planning at first).
Same here. That head is going on my desk at work.
Plus, as per the response above, I wouldn't be surprised if vanishing dyes only work on certain pieces like helms Having the only alternative appearance option as "nothing" seems clunky, and not Blizzards style. While I totally understand they're different designers/developers, they were hesitant on adding transmog to WoW for very similar reasons (they don't want the core game being played in tuxedos, christmas things, etc), so I don't see "naked" in D3 being acceptable either.

Everyone will have a different opinion about Gamestop, some positive, some negative, most bandwagoning.
I've never personally had a problem with preorders or in store pickups. But that's just me.

I have never seen a gamestop line that was not at least 2 hours long on release night. Which is more than enough reason for me to never go again, thus I will likely never have a CE.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!

Um, ever hear of Amazon.com, not to mention It's highly likely Blizzard will be selling the CE through the Blizzard site as well.
PS. Only fools buy from Gamestop anyway(omg what a bad company, nothing but scams, and bad customer service).
I am not talking about the CE edition as a reason but just as a whole Blizzard is just pissing me off over the last couple of months. The Beta game play has mellowed some of the feeling but with cheapening of D3 as "wait there's more" informatial selling scheme to keep WoW subscriptions it feels to me that Blizzard does not care about D3 at all and that has me worried that that the game might just not be that good. The game play of Beta looks good but still it does not mean the rest of the game is good.
If I do calm down but right now I just feel that Blizzard should have just not have done D3 and just let it end at D2 LoD.

Yea I hear that, it doesn't seem like Blizzard actually wanted to make another Diablo game at all, and it clearly shows sigh. One can only hope Blizzard turns things around before release, but doesn't seem likely(however we should know if they plan to, by the end of blizzcon). Right now Blizzard is treating the D3 project as nothing more then a marketing scam.
This whole "WoW is using D3 as a marketing scheme" is seriously going to people's head. Its not like I like it either, its just there is extreme overreaction about it. You don't spend so much time and money on a game for marketing for a slowly dying game.
I'm the first to jump on the "hating Blizzard and what they're doing" bandwagon but this particular argument is nonsensical crap that needs to stop.
EDIT: I'm fine with the CE, by the way, as long as things in there don't affect gameplay, put as much as you want.

No, not just because of the WoW sub promotion(the past few months or so have had marketing scam written all over the D3 project), WoW has nothing to do with it(except for the fact WoW is the only game Blizzard actually cares about, but as far as marketing goes, only the sub promotion has anything to do with WoW).

To continue on what Zoltor stated.
The NDA Beta and it looked like that D3 was really going to be released in 2011 since they stated that the beta would be a short one. Then shortly after the F&F beta we get that D3 is not going to be released in 2011.
I have nothing against a Beta being used for promoting as long as it is just before release (about a month before). I feel the beta should have had NDA at least until we have a release date set by BLizzard.

Ok, please don't hate me for this, but I think the wings look crap. If the wings do look like the wings seen in the CE picture posted on the first page I think I would rather not equip them.
Hey... I know this will sound pretty stupid, but i'm a little confused. Are the CE in-game exclusive items mean for within Diablo 3 and you character? Or is it for WoW and SC2?
Diablo III - Aesthetic Artifacts
Call forth glowing angel wings, unfurl an exclusive banner, and dye your armor sets with the Bottled Cloud or Bottled Smoke items.
World of Warcraft - Fetish Shaman Pet
Journey throughout the World of Warcraft with the fetish shaman at your side.
StarCraft II - Battle.net Portraits
Display your status as a hero of the mortal realms with an exclusive army decal and three Diablo-themed Battle.net portraits.

It does. It's the cap.
@designation15: Not that I know. Sixen guessed at about a hundred us dollars.
