Used to play these kind of forum games back when I was a part of the Spore Forums.
So pretty much it's a game about evolution (From cell phase to space (if we get that far :|)
People will have a vote after every update, deciding on what you want your organism to do.
Usually when I have +5 votes I will update.
So first up.
VOTE FOR A CELL:
STATS:
HEALTH POINTS - Obviously your health points. Once this reaches zero, you will die, and must start over with a new cell. Health points can be regenerated over a period of time.
SKILL POINTS - Determine how many times you can use a skill. Once this reaches zero, you must wait for you skill points to be regenerated.
TO-HIT - Verses the enemies dodge.
ATTACK - Verses the enemies defence.
DEFENCE - Reduces the amount of damage done to you.
SPEED - Verses the enemies to-hit. Also determines how fast you can escape.
Question: So we are going to share this cell and try to evolve it as far as possible before it dies?
Pretty much. I go with whatever has the most votes.

I am using a custom dice online, entirely based on your characters stats to make sure there is no cheating.
Example: (Take it as if I am a LVL 1 Swordsman)

Just imagine it as an organism, not human and orcs ;D
Battle system aside, i have to get to know the formula of how chance to hit and damage done are calculated before i choose a shape.
And of course i have to see the skills!

This is what I use to roll the dice; http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm
At the bottom you can use custom dice (dX), in the first box I type in the stat point, like 5 or whatever. I then roll three times. The number in between the highest and lowest rolled, is the number I use. If I roll, for example; 6,6 and 4, I would use 6. Same as if I rolled; 6,4 and 4, I would use 4.
The skills are unknown for you ATM. and technically there are no skills. You pretty much buy "upgrades" for your organism, such as electric skin, with "EVO Points", which you gain throughout the game.
Actually while writing that post yours wasn't there yet. I now get it but thanks for clearing that about skills of course.
EVO points eh? Reminds me of the SNES game `EVO: Search For Eden' or something like that. Played about a year ago. XD Was very good...
Did you actually do any calculations or so to make the shapes statistically even?
I played evo, or whatever it's called before. haha.
Yeah, all the stats add up to 25 for each of the Cells. And I try to make them accurate to their specialty. Such as Shape D, it is a defensive cell, so it has alot of defense, and for that reason it is slower than the others.
EDIT: And for your other question, if you roll an equal amount, I just re-roll :]
Hrmm... But are the `importance' of the stats statistically equal?
Example: Does a creature with 4HP and 6SPD really have a %50 chance of winning against one with 6HP and 4SPD? (Not counting other stats and who hits first.) The role of those stats are quite different after all.
That should equal a chance of at least %30 to dodge.
Well of course it does. Speed is what you need to dodge. So if you manage to dodge, lucky you. HP on the other hand, is important so you do not die. All the stats are important in their own ways. There isn't really a stat point that you don't need. It's just more of variety if you have more of a kind.
You have ATK vs DEF, SPD vs TH, and HP/SP (SP not really being that important) is seperated from that all.

A is circle, also with ballpark calculations I think Def - 4 and speed - 3 may be better then extreme on one and not on the other (IE 7,2 or 2,7 C,D) because you get two rolls with decent multipliers.
