btw whoever said halo 1 takes more skill or wateva, i agree.
halo 3 corrected all the mistakes of halo 2 and added more.
-it fixed the sword (not as powerful, lunge not as bad)
-it brought back the assault rifle
-it fixed the pistol
-it took away noobish easy heat seeking rockets in the rocket launcher
-it took away hit boxes
-it turned the shotgun back into a shotgun...not a freakin slot gun
-grenade trajectory is fixed
i could list more but i cbf at the moment. halo 3 is a huge improvement on 2 and will bring back the skill involved in halo 1. not the noobishness of halo 2.
Jarhead, you seem to feel very strongly against Halo 2. I agree entirely. It's a fun game, but doesn't compare with the first.

Youve yourselves to blame if its too long,
You should never have let me begin, begin,
You should never have let me begin.

I still think Halo 2 was a great game. The multiplayer was not as fun as the first and third Halo, but the campaign itself was pretty cool I thought. It had great cinematics and a more cohesive storyline. What's interesting about the Halo games is how each one really is two seperate games. Because the campaign and multiplayer are so radically different. But what's nice about Halo 3 is wherever it falls short on the campaign, it more than makes up for it with multiplayer. I've been having tons of fun on it lately. And there is a greater variety of weapons that is nice because it suits different styles of combat. For instance, I love weilding dual Maulers. So it's really fun to crouch around a corner, monitor your radar and as soon as you see someone coming by you, you stay crouched around the corner and then just blast 'em point blank range. So satisfying!
Halo 1's campaign was good, but Halo 2's told you much more story. Halo did, in my opinion, a much better job at explaining what it had to explain.
The thing about the first Halo that bugged me in the campaign was how the Monitor is basically explaining a lot of the plot as you travel along with him. Unfortunately, you can barely make out what it's saying.
I hated that. He's explaining it as he flies away into an inaccesible shaft with flood pouring out... And we're supposed to hear it? Over rockets, grenades and the ever popular shotgun?
