I am not sure if this has been talked about or not yet, but I was wondering if anyone had any info on the release of a Beta version and how I could sign-up or get a copy.
When Bill Roper moved over to Flagship, he confirmed that the old chat gem never actually did anything, other than change colors and send some text. I'm doubtful that the one on the website does any more.
Surviving Duriel for the first time in Hardcore in multiplayer (load times with bosses being able to act during them for the lose) is definitely the most memorable hardcore experience for me. Of course, right after beating him, my pally got owned by the flesh crawler things the Dark Wanderer spawns just outside the Act III town.
could be that, but i also noticed a slightly different color on the barbarians mana. The witch doctors was deeper blue. Different classes might have different regen rates too.
Some people have taken screenshots of the skills the Barb uses, and they seem to use 'Stamina' instead of 'Mana'.
But as to regen, if you remember/saw the SC2 Protoss Mothership demo, they pumped up the energy of the ship for that demo just to be able to show off all its abilities, and was not indicative of the real power the ship will have.
I'm not happy with this as well, and I'm not sure how they'll handle all the fans who want him back. The witchdoctor has no dark appeal to him. Nothing like the necro did.
To me, it looks like the appeal of the Witch Doctor is supposed to be more of being close to nature, or less civilized, not that he's supposed to be dark and 'evil' per se.
I still think we're getting a really dark class like a demonologist that uses the power of the demons against them (dark magic, shifting into demonic forms), and also getting the Paladin coming back, bringing in some nice contrast.
Most of the body and face get covered up by armor for a lot of the classes anyway, I would assume, so either way it doesn't really matter to me. However, give us tons of choices for equipment, and let THAT set us apart from another.
i like the old system but normal should stay the same level of diffuculty, nightmare should be twice as hard as old game, hell should be harder then last and finally there should either be a really balanced game all around, or the should be a fourth diffuculty that could make the perfect, godly equipped character tremble like a b*****.
Agreed. Make it a real challenge, and encourage us very strongly to keep grouping.

To be fair, look below the mid chest on both and compare. The shoulders and head/hair are really the only big similarities that I see.

You think he fits in more in a giant desert (Act II) than in a jungle littered with enemy primitive Witch Doctors (act III)?
