you can use Delsere or TR for a 2000% dmg boost to EB. and that 20% seems to be another multiplier. so a 2400% multiplier with this and the set alone. Obviously it's interesting (and to me always was) to mix in arcane orbit, especially with the recent buffs and complementary items. But also this needs to be tested... we always need to Keep in mind that we have only 13 + 3 item Slots and 6 active skills
the damage reduction however is really needed. so we can mess around with either F/R rings or maybe even convention/unity for more toughness (oviously halo in cube and APD either cube or maybe the new shield bracers, too when fitting in some shield skills / passives). Oh well this is already getting to deep into it. but yes, i think this is great not only for EB/Woh builds in general but also for EB being one of the main damage dealers in some specific setup.

Wont agree with you here.
As I said. I was the wizard in my grps and it was a huge difference when I compared the people I played with. Same for the wizard of course (only that I dont had the experience for that matter). I know it's no rocket science but I can only tell what I've experienced with the people I played with from so called "high end grift communities"
Of course the grp with the 2k p wizard will get higher than the 1k p wizard (with same 3 support people). But when both wizards would in theory be played by the same guy then the difference would be more like maybe 2 griftlvls at most.
the 10 lvls could be the case if the 1k wiz is less experienced, has worse gear, caldasanns and not only the 1k paragon levels of stat points are missing. But with your example it's more like 2 grift levels NOT 10.

@Psyborg
maybe some "basic skill" yes. But trust me the diablo community is full of people unwilling to learn basic stuff, or just not trying (or dont wanna try).
At the end of the season I ran many 4 man grps (usually Im a solo player) with my wizard (so I was more or less the only paragon dependant class).
There was a huge difference between running 85, 90, 95 or 100+ just depending on what the barb/monk/wd did right or wrong.
Sometimes it was a struggle to do 90 and sometimes 99 was a 100% clear in time.
So yes, experience and proper play was a much more deciding factor than paragon was.
You could argue that it's only about the paragon when you always play with the same people who you know what they're doing. Then yes, paragon (and gear) of the DPS class is more or less the only thing you can try to improve to get higher in grifts (beside of RNG of course)

well written @bagstone.
you mentioned several reasons why paragon gives even a huge benefit when not including the obvious progression (+5 mainstat / lvl).
and that is also the reason why it's overall too big of a boost (let it be 3-4 griflvls for 2k paragons just from a character stat pov).
the mainstat boosting just needs to change. whether that's in form of a simple mainstat nerf (e.g. +1 instead of +5) or a complete new paragon 3.0 is probably a question of ressources blizzard puts into D3.
The only thing I can't understand is that it takes them so long to change (it obviously will change in the future...)

other classes also have competetive rings. e.g. halo of arlyse for wizards (and even new storm armor ring with the next patch). also other classes now have competetive class specific rings but mostly in the form of a simple dmg reduction buff if using x-skill to compete with unity and other strong ring setups.
and yes there will always be one best setup. like there always was. but the options are far more competetive and interesting compared to few seasons ago (where there was only rorg + soj grp, rorg + unity solo. nothing else even close)

give at least 1 example of a "fun" ring instead? orotz comes to mind which is also a very good ring (used in top solo barb and solo wizard builds in S4 but in those cases also very dull... especially in the wizards archon case)
many builds can work around the CoE proc (e.g. especially the FoK DH) which is gameplay wise much more interesting than anything else a ring can provide.
you are right that there should be a slightly better alternative when you just seek for increasing you dmg output (like a flat 55-60% dmg increase) so that you dont just wait for the proc and have a more reliable constant dmg increase.

I know that it's probably not allowed. But if I would get banned for something that should be a feature. So be it. it would just be plain stupid and probably that's why they won't do that

I even play without it in grifts but farming rifts with my wizard would be just stupid to spam that button for hours. it's not even an unfair advantage. it just makes life easier.
probably even that is not allowed but tbh it's so much more important to ban botters with unfair advantages. cus that is what destroys the game and not simple small things which could as well be promoted as a feature in a future patch

you mean ww/rend.
in vanilla hota was trash when using with skorn. well in fact hota was trash overall in vanilla. it was maybe somehow useful for farming demonic essences vs. yellow elites. but like ww shined when using dual wield.
skorn was clearly a rend weapon (and ofc ww cus it was the most op thing in vanilla (beside of maybe cm))

yeah you basically have 2 cheat deaths with each a 60 sec cd.
but beware. unstable anomaly is a much better cheat death skill.
beside of knocking enemies back it gives you a big shield buff which last a few seconds, the firebird 2 piece bonus only gives you full life after a short delay (gray screen for 1-2 seconds) and the meteor revives you.
I'm only playing softcore (since my bad pc cant handle any other fancy things ^^) but it happend several times that a molten explosion is building up while I'm in the "freezing gray state" and then the 2pc will do absolutely nothing for you. you just die another time.
probably it would be better if the firebird set procs first, since it's really not that reliable when it comes to saving you from death.

Much more fluid and the classes are more interesting. But that's just my opinion
It's my offline game of choice

completed it. but this survey just scratchs the surface.
when a new patch comes out i play alot longer and lose interest almost every time half through season. also i think alot (maybe even more than 50%?) of D3 players are 25 years or older.
also yeah after years of playing D3 more or less intensely I probably play it mainly cus of friends nowadays but i wouldn't count out things you've listed like new content and stuff...

on the wizard solo leaderboard there is in the top 10 a para 800ish guy cleared 69 in 1:28. This is impossible. Seems bugged. Just for the record
edit: it also seems to use the current paragon lvl as indicator. and not the paragon lvl with which the grift was completed (in some cases this is kinda not "fair"). in the game the paragon lvl of the clear is snapshotted

and then there's hellfire ring and leorics for a small xp boost which i still would prefer over some non-exsistant follower dmg.

Other than that like already mentioned the idea itself is good but your suggestions need alot of tweaks
