Now this is just not fair. Talk about contradicting your own rules. When other people posted this "speculation" of a release date on the forums all those topics were blocked. Why do you have the rite to post this and we do not?
I disagree with what you are saying. I think it's a good thing they posted this - on the main page where a lot of people where see it - because too many people are seeing fake release dates and getting super excited and spreading it around thinking it's a real release date. This post is bringing to attention that a lot of these dates are indeed fake, and people need to watch out for them. Basically telling all those gullible people out there to smarten up and stop being silly.
I guess there is a difference when someone posts a thread saying OMG THIS IS THE RELEASE DATE! vs when someone posts a thread saying it's speculation. Either way, I think the comments in those threads always end up going in the same direction anyway.
As for me, I'm not believing any release date until I hear it from Blizzard. I didn't know when to expect the game originally, and when the beta started in Sept, I had a guess in my head that it would come out in March 2012, based on something that Jay Wilson had said (that the Beta will start 6 months before release). I was actually surprised when they said originally they wanted it out this year and they had to push it back. I had no idea they wanted it to come out so soon. So really, I think it'll come out sooner than I expected, which is nice for me.
Yes, but the thing is I did post a thread called exactly: "Speculation: Potential Diablo 3 Release Date".
http://www.diablofans.com/topic/31092-speculation-potential-diablo-3-release-date/page__p__695023#entry695023
But that got blocked, it had the exact same intention as this thread does and did not for one minute say that the release date was true. So as you can see, I do feel kind of betrayed by the fact that this thread was created stating that the release date was merely "speculation" and that the moderator who blocked my thread said that the rules do not permit "speculation" threads. So, I stick with my case. =)

Its really not that hard to understand. Un-attuned runes provide random stats right? If so, there is that potential to acquire an un-attuned rune that once it is socketed into a skill provides stats that changed the functionality of the skill while keeping its original look. Was that so hard to understand?

Thanks for the responses. However, I'm not sure your correct on the first question. The fastest time is around 14 mins, but talesoflumin has one beta play-through of his monk going for around 3 hours and 50 minutes. So on average I would say beta can vary between 15 minutes to 4 hours lol.

1. (This is a question to everyone who has played through the beta) How long on average does it take for you to play through the entire beta? I want to know the longest and shortest times depending on gameplay style (eg: rushing/exploring).
2. Do you believe character progression is to fast? For example do the classes level to quickly and acquire new skills to quickly? (From what I have seen of play-throughs, it seems classes level just as fast as Diablo 2, however, there are only 60 levels instead of 99... so yeah it does seem a little fast for me)
3. What do you think of the scale of the beta thus far? What I mean is in Diablo 2 the map sizes felt pretty decently large, from what i've seen of the beta, each map feels very linear and small... it doesn't feel like you are playing in the world of Sanctuary but instead a very confined area.
Thats it so far... Thanks! =)
PS: You might have guessed that all my questions are to do with the size of the game... I'm just worried that it isn't long enough... I mean over 5 years of game production... so far I'm not too impressed with only the size aspect of the game. To me each area should be 2 - 3 times bigger than they currently are.

All I can say is... Yes it is quite disappointing to have to wait soo long for a game that in all seriousness would be expected to look a hell of a lot better than it does atm with the amount of time it has been in development for (not saying I don't love it!!! Just expected well... more).
But all we can do is hope. =)

So there isn't a set limit of items, there are endless types of items you could acquire? Thanks. =)

Don't the original runes still have the potential drop? I like the idea of un-attuned runes, it allows our skills and character to actually have some personal identity. Blizzard is giving us our customisation back and its what we all wanted to have. Having the additional bonus of dropping the original runes just makes this even better! =)

Also how will the HTC Legend handle it?
[Off topic, is there any way for me to get Dungeon Hunter 2 on my HTC Legend?]
Please and Thank You. =)

I guess so. I think i'm just still pissed about all these freaking cool-downs still lol. But 10 seconds... come on. Every type of rpg game I have ever played, cool-downs averaged between 1-5 seconds. Diablo 3 is supposed to be a fast paced action game where you absolutely obliterate large mobs around you and fly through them. If they are going to add cool downs they shouldn't at least be longer than 10 seconds. Fan of knives which i thought to be a spammable skill is now going to be incredibly dull for my play-style. I'm just so worried at what else blizzard decides to give cool-downs to, we already have a bunch of freaking 30 second cool-downs. =(
