They are ICONS. Most people are meh about ICONS because they are ICONS. The difference between good icons and bad icons is so insignificant that I'm shocked anyone even cares.
Actually. The icons in D2 had a special magic about them. They were lovely. In fact, entire D2 had amazing art. That's why people have so high expectations about D3. Icons matter a little bit.
I don't find the icons in Diablo 2 magical at all. They looked liked bloated up images that ended up looking nothing like the item you actually wore to me. So far I'm glad they went back to paper doll models and it's nice to see that it actually seems like the icons will like what they do on your character.
The odds increase your chances significantly, actually. 2 accounts increase your chances 2-fold. 4 accounts increase your chances 4-fold, etc.
But unless you have different hardware configurations on multiple computers, some of those might not count depending on how the beta optin works. They definitely do take into consideration hardware specs when deciding who gets to play.
Thats a dumb way of thinking about it...
If I had a .0000001 chance with one box... then I would only have a .0000004 chance with 4 boxes... the increase is therefore insignificant. Even the way i put it is incorrect because the denominator increases with the numerator and actually decreases the increase of odds each time an account is added... anyways i hope you get it... I dont care to explain the math.
No, don't do that math. I'll do it.
Let's suppose there are 10,000 beta keys to be given out.
You sign up for 2. That's 1/10000 + 1/10000 = 2/10000. That's TWICE AS LIKELY to get opted in.
Or say you sign up with 3 accounts. That's 3/10000. That is 3 times as likely.
Your chances are still low, but you're still on an order of magnitude more likely to get in. Brought to you by science.
You take out the factors that I highly doubt Blizzard would give beta to people with very similar specs to another computer, and also area.
This isn't a simple more = better chance, it's a complex formula that Blizzard probably uses for each Beta. This computer is located in X area, we only want to give out X betas to this area, this computer has the same specs as X in X area, we'd prefer to not give the beta to this person because of the similarities, etc.
Generally you want a diverse beta testers as possible with a PC game.
God I hope it's something good, I haven't been this hyped up for D3 since it was announced, and now I've gone into a state were I don't want to do anything else but read about diablo 3 or Diablo lore.
Blizzard is a sadistic company founded on the pain of its fans!
I vote we go with the Democratic/Progressive method. Everybody send all their stuff to me and I will re-distribute it to the masses based on what I think is needed. This solves everyones problems...
Auction houses are merely a way for the rich to get richer and exploit the underperforming masses. Perhaps we could have a tax that if you have more than 200,000 gold you have to pay to help the less fortunate players...
Your all tripping, the items REALLY do not look that impressive, your just for lack of a better description, diablo whipped, and you would pretty much love anything they throw at you,
look REAL close at the items, they are ok ya, nothing to throw a hissy fit about, but seriously not that impressive, I know 15 year olds who can draw armor/weapons that would blow those away
You see there is this thing, it's called an opinion. People tend to have different ones. Now, this opinion thing varies very widely between person to person, and most of the time a lot of people disagree about something. Just because they disagree though it does not necessarily mean they are wrong. Now remember, opinions are something we all have, and in things like aesthetic appeal, it's very hard to say someone is wrong when they disagree with you.
I just thought you should know what an opinion is since you obviously have no idea how they work.

Truly history has shown us this is the best way to deal with these problems.

No his opinion is that no one can really like those weapons, they're just deluding themselves.
Read his post again and learn reading comprehension. I also never stated my opinion, nice try though.
