I'm buying my first home this coming Monday, and one of my initial projects is to create a "War Room" for myself. I work on so much at once, it would be nice to have one spot in my house where all my events, schedules, and other online related stuff can be kept separate from the rest of my life. I don't need 20 smart phone reminders each day or dozens of hand written notes cluttering my desk if I keep it all to a single room.
This room will be where I work on diablo 3 videos, articles, etc, as well as other ventures.
What I'm curious about, and could use your help with, is deciding what exactly to put in this room.
Here are my ideas so far, and I have everything except for a handful of stuff I'll grab at the store near my house:
Whiteboard
Two Desks
Filing Cabinet
Mac Mini w/monitor
ASUS Laptop
PC
Sound System
Television
Miscellaneous Office Supplies
Cork Board
Printer
Posters for Inspiration
Chairs
Podcast microphone
Camera for recording
What would YOU put in your "War Room" ? Am I missing anything you couldn't live without?
I'm expecting PVP to not be the focus for a year or so, and then Blizzard will release an arena system with ranking like they did in Wow and all hell will break loose. It'll probably be their strategy for retaining players who are bored with inferno mode farming.
I have absolutely no idea why anyone would even consider balancing the pvp of this game. The sheer number of builds is just insane and so much more complicated than classes in wow.
I'm remembering that they said some time ago that they want to encourage players to play multiplayer by giving team based play loot in a quicker phase, therefore more loot. And without difficulty scaling, therefore it would be hard to solo. I guess things have changed, they sure change their minds often.
This. Part of the fun of Blizzard is knowing that everything they say six months out will not happen
I think the background itself is nice, the image could be better since that guy kinda looks like a rapist. A pencil drawing makes a nice background though, but I feel the blog need some borders. Especially to at the edges of the actual blog and the background and the blog banner.
Also you coul probably re-work the choise of colors a bit, otherwise it's pretty good.
Hey guys, I'm trying really hard to get a half decent site design up (while I wait to find a professional designer) and I was hoping for some honest feedback on my blog so far.
If you have negative comments I'll take them just as readily as positive ones. I actually am hoping for lots of negatives to help me decide how to proceed with the redesign in the near future.
Thanks for your help and good luck with those beta keys! I really appreciate this, you're a great group to discuss Diablo stuff with and I can't wait to dive in the auction house with all of you.
You learn a lot from streams about the players. From being on the other side previously I can say that it is not easy to make a stream entertaining. Some people play well, talk the whole time or leave vent open to keep up a minimum level of entertainment.
I prefer to just keep the action going and I like that force does that.
Good luck to all! It's the fateful day, and everyone is F5'ing their souls away! I hope lots of us on the site get in, and for those who don't, know that the majority of us will know your pain right up until release!
Also very interested to know if anyone from DFans got in through opt-in only =D
