6 at 30 hatred cost a piece, and requires set up time etc. Also a hope that a fast sprinting mob (which you will get a shit ton of in inferno) doesnt sprint through and trigger all your traps so they cant deal AOE dmg, and thus all 4 DH's use ALL their hatred, killing 1 mob, then proceed to get face stomped...

It wont be as effective as you think it will be, I can see the method behind the madness, but that rune choice is poor in comparison to scatter or sticky bomb for inferno. Teleporting, walling, sprinting, etc. mobs, are going to fuck this plan up the ass hard and fast.

4 Barbs with Earthquake runed Mountain call with boon of bul kath, would be way more effective, and that puts that combo ona 75s CD, but atleast they dont dump all their resources, and it cant be foiled by tp, wall, sprinters etc. and its radius is 2x bigger. Then they could just get ancients with duty to clan, and use that on the next huge pull, rotate between earthquake and ancients lol.

For whatever way you find to cheese shit, people will always find better ways.

Pretty sure Thailand doesnt give a fuck about his sleep deprivation, but if an entire village says this guys not sleeping, and our NA/EU sleep deprivation "omfg amazing" team hasn't flown out to study him, well i guess they dont give a fuck about advancing the field of knowledge.
Oh yes, because a bunch of people say it, we should just accept it as the truth. If someone claims they haven't slept for a year you can either mark them as lier or as delusional. Be it "Inedia" or ability to not never sleep, those are all charlartans and it's horrible to even hint at them maybe being right because it might steer people into risking their life trying to do it for real (instead to fake it like those "gurus" do) and then this poll would suddenly be very grim.
If someone claims to have superhuman abilities (e.g. no need to sleep, no need to eat) there are lots of people who would like to monitor them under controlled conditions (and not have them unmonitored part of the time, duh). None has ever done that. So please...don't spread these lies. They're actually dangerous.

No, because an entire village says it, perhaps it should be investigated so that on the off chance, the 0.000000001% chance that it is actually true, we could learn something. I don't believe that it's true, I don't believe that it's false, I believe it hasn't been answered yet.

Not verified by the scientific community, its not Ngoc Thai's job to get it varified, he is just some poor farmer in Thailand trying to make a living. Did they disprove it? Nope. I don't care about your credentials, or who you talk to? Sweet shit. That Article gives the insight that a first year University student could give on the subject.

Verification has nothing to do with it. You did an excellent job with this post displaying your ignorance in the field.

The article was selected simply because it did a good job covering the basics and came up early on a Google search.

you've done well showing your ability to sit on your high horse not disproving it. That goes both ways bud. tytyty

If you do wish to hang by your TV documentaries of people performing amazing feats, You'll probably get a kick out of people bending spoons with their mind. Itz likez for realz man!

To get back on topic though, is morbid obesity and coronary heart disease considered a direct result of playing too much Diablo 3 in this topic? Because in the USA alone loads of people die sitting on their supersized ass in front of their computer o.o

actually people bend the spoons, just like they move things on the Ouija board, sorry bro. I'm not a crack, I just leave room for people to accomplish things impossible, because as human beings we accomplish impossible feats all the time. Just like grandma ripping a car door off its hinges to save someone they love, or the monk that takes a spear to the soft tissue of the throat with enough PSI to skewer a normal human being, because he focused his energy to repel the attack.

So if some guy says he hasnt slept in years has a village backing him up, and no one wants to go investigate, because even at the chance that it's true, he could give us so much more knowledge, I'm going to leave room for doubt. If some guy hasnt eaten in 68 years, and uses meditation to feed himself, and after limited observation scientists are "baffled" after a week of observing him, im going to leave room for doubt.

Kabooom. I studied cognitive psych, and social psych, I'm aware of the side effects of sleep deprivation. I'm just saying your link has incorrect information.
As a fellow psychologist, I'd like to see the scientific research constituting that there are people that have absolutely no need of sleep. I consider random TV documentaries about as reliable as wikipedia.

Nat Geo did a program on amazing people, where it showed the guy from india who hasnt eaten in XX years, and it mentioned him. Also had the girl who orgasms like every 5 minutes etc etc.

So far, the guy in india is holding up in his claims, and no one wants to go study this thai guy sooo. Guess we dont give a fuck enough to look into these things.

I've undergone more sleep deprivation in school, I've undergone more sleep deprivation and force marched. That shit didnt ruin my life.

There are tons of medical studies showing the negative effects extensive sleep deprivation has on the human body.

Just because you survived it doesn't mean it's good for you.

Doesnt mean it's good for you?

We live in a world of things not good for you my friend, just because it's not good for you, doesnt mean people wont do it. A period of forced sleep deprivation is fixed within a few normal sleep cycles.

Moderation is the key with most of the things not good for you. I'm going to guess people dont do this on a regular basis, because that game you've been waiting for, for how many years now? 7?8?9?10? Doesnt come out every month. Just saying...

let's just meditate scientific facts away

You'd be amazed what the mind can achieve.

Some guy gets a "voice from god" in India, believes it 110%, then stops eating for 68 years, and lives. Ask any doctor if its possible. They will say "No". Scientific fact applied to everyone else but 1 dude (that we know of).

Religious fanaticism, accomplish insane feats since we conceptualized god.

it is not possible to die from simply not sleeping, the body will fall asleep after x amount of hours, just make sure that you eat properly while you are staying awake for a long time

Most certainly NOT true at all. Lack of sleep has a severe impact on your immune system.

"One of the possible side effects of a continued lack of sleep is death. Usually this is the result of the fact that the immune system is weakened without sleep. The number of white blood cells within the body decreases, as does the activity of the remaining white blood cells. The body also decreases the amount of growth hormone produced (8). The ability of the body to metabolize sugar declines, turning sugar into fat. One study stated that people who sleep less than four hours per night are three times more likely to die within the next six years (11). Although the longest a human has remained awake was eleven days rats that are continually deprived of sleep die within two to five weeks, generally due to their severely weakened immune system (10), (11), (12)."

(Bolded text is why you really don't want to be cramming sugar in the case you do decide to marathon.)

This information is wrong, there are currently 1-2 people in the world that do NOT sleep. One is from India im pretty sure, the other is from China. Nat Geo did a program on them awhile back, they use meditation, but the brain does not enter a state of sleep. Wicked stuff. Pretty sure the one guy hasnt slept in like 11 years. This was like 5-6 years back.

Edit* actually there is one guy who hasnt slept for 38 years, a Thai farmer

edit* on an unrelated note, there is someone who hasnt eaten in 68 years, meditation is ballin'!

^ How is that ruining the game? Who are you to tell others how to enjoy the game? People enjoy it in the way that they feel is best?

ruining their lives? 10 days is ruining someones life? What? What kind of cheap drugs are you on?

I've undergone more sleep deprivation in school, I've undergone more sleep deprivation and force marched. That shit didnt ruin my life. It's their life, and if they are happy doing whatever it is that they do, as long as they dont hurt others, who the fuck are you to judge them? If you dont understand the respect and accolades that go with being the first to conquer something in a blizzard game, you my friend, are on the wrong forums, and playing a game from the wrong company.

When WotLK went live, I spent 3 days playing it constant, without sleep, then went and wrote a theoretical criminology exam and scored and a 98 on it, with a class avg of 60. But i totally ruined my life, and jeopardized my schooling, right?.

I just quit my job about 3 weeks ago, and im enjoying my time off, and I will marathon the shit out of this game, because I've been waiting an eternity to play it, and that's how I enjoy playing new games. Hey? I just played Tera for 2 days straight, god damn my life's over!

It's not your place to judge how someone plays, keep it to yourself, or stfu essentially.
