posted a message on Inferno Difficulty a failure?
Inferno is way too easy now, at least they could up the drop rate in act 4 inferno so someone will farm it? and it's a bit harder.
As it stands now everyone is doing keep runs (making the place lag like crazy) cause it's easy and has alot of elites, they could even add an infinite dungeon where every 10th floor u get a boss and if u kill it the dificulty ramps (and drop chances) it would even bring some healthy competition back between friends "hey dude i'm already at floor 50 or smthg and you?"

posted a message on Legendaries so awesome, but still sad face :(
I farm act 3 inferno with 0 MF (except 5 stacks) and i have gotten 15+ legendary items (i have around 500hrs played) so just chill because they drop, and the new ones will drop also, besides the game is getting piss easy (which i hate) so u will farm even faster.

Well, the game was already easy imo, after soloing inferno on a wizard and on a barb i can say that these nerfs are not necessary and in fact will hurt the game... we need stuff that keeps us entertained and challenged, not some ez mode browser game...

Do not forget that if you farm lower dificulties you'll basically trample elites, but y, it's still too much ^^

posted a message on How far can I get with these stats? Act 3?
Just so you know my main is a wizard with 60k dps and i've cleared inferno solo, and even though i know the game well now, on my barb with 1100 to all resists and 8,5k armor and 800 LoH and i still struggle on act 3, so my advise is pump up those resists, use a LoH gem on both weps and the rest is nice already ^^

    Edited for clarity.

posted a message on I have a question - Please reply with honesty
I can try and share my personal journey if it helps you get a better understanding of yours ;)
In 2010 i lost my job, house, girlfriend and my father died... needless to say I was homeless and alone, and honestly?
i woke up everyday (when i slept) with incredible motivation for life, cause although my life was pretty shitty i was free to do whatever i wanted, be whoever i could be without constrains from others or doctrines from society itself, i struggled alot to discover myself and what i truly wanted, (and in some sense i think i still try to better myself everyday) but i became a writer and i wrote a fantasy book.
Now here i am, getting ready for diablo 3 with money, internet, house, food etc... and i still wake up with the same feeling, you are alive until you die, why force it when it is inevitable? we are better off "leveling up" trough life ;)
    cheers and peace to all.

posted a message on Direct quote from Jay Wilson supporting PvP in Diablo 3
    Quote from d0c

I think the stigma of WoW arena has corrupted the perception of PvP for this entire genre (gear based rpg's). It's obvious that small scale PvP (1 v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 3) will ALWAYS be inherently imbalanced because of the very nature of the game. Competition is not synonymous with PvP. There are multiple game modes that I have listed that do not directly pit players against each other, although in essence you would be competing against another team in other ways (i.e. who can last longer vs. hordes of monsters - horde mode, who can complete content faster - content racing, etc.)

What can be done about this? As has been stated MANY times, putting emphasis on OBJECTIVES and creating more dynamics in the competitive game field will help to alleviate the inevitable imbalances, and allow for more creative and interesting gameplay.. not to mention be fun AS HELL. Putting design issues aside, just imagine how incredible playing a DoTA game with your Diablo 3 character would be. Put aside whatever prejudice your have against PvP or competition or whatever. It would just be massively fun, period, and "game modes" (my term) like this have INFINITE REPLAYABILITY. Whereas, amazing or not, the story line in Diablo 3 will eventually end and the average player will become bored with the game. Game modes work synergistically with the PvM side of Diablo 3 by encouraging even MORE FARMING, MORE TRADING, ETC. to encourage people to obtain loot to use in these game modes and be more successful.

That's how I see it at least. I sincerely hope Diablo 3 PvP (or competition) IS NOT RELEGATED TO ARENAS. This may be fun for a while. but with no incentive to encourage competition there is simply no substance in the system.

Well Jay stated that we won't see DOTA mode in d3 cause it's not made for d3 (jungling for what? going to base to buy what if we already have gear?) etc etc..
I will be mainly a PvP'er in D3 and i hope (as it has been said before by devs) that we have more pvp modes, like capture the flag etc tec.
In fact they even said the only reason they delayed pvp is cause they had only 3 or so arenas and they were very similar, obviously we will get more arenas with different lay-outs and shit.
Also do not forget we are no longer out after first death in arena like the arenas we saw in blizzcon, we now respawn until a set number of kills or time is reached (so even less balance problems as one can simply study his opponent and make proper adjustments)
Competitive is relative, i for one am gonna compete to win every arena i enter, with or without ranking, ladder, etc...
PvP will be awesome, don't worry ^^

PS:Sorry for wall of text crit xD

Unfortunatly jay said on blizzcon 2011 q&a that we cannot trade gear from normal to HC chars (and hc does not have acess to AH) which makes legendary non 60 drops kinda useless for trade.

What about non 60 legendaries that you find while leveling a character in HC? HC has a gold auction house.

If you find them on an HC character you can sell them on hc AH (Gold) or trade with other hc chars.

I wouldn't say that. Firstly you can always break them down for all important materials or sell them, since they will fetch a good price. Secondly, these items will be invaluable to hardcore characters. Throw a bunch of these items in your stash and you'll make life for your hardcore characters a lot easier.

I for one do not mind having some non 60 legendaries, what bothers me is that we have so little 60 ones... but again, i still think that guide is lacking some serious inferno stuff.
